Ed Sheeran and Courteney Cox had a jam session as he played her a song he wrote inspired by her TV show Friends.
In the video, Ed, 32, pulls out his guitar and plays his pal Courteney, 59, the track, which he called American Town.
He tells her: ‘Courteney, I wrote a song inspired by Friends, the show you were on and I’m going to play it to you. It’s called American Town.’
Ed then sings: ‘We’re a long way from home, haven’t seen you in so long / But it all came back in one moment.
And the years started cold but I didn’t notice at all and we found there’s a room with both in / We ate Chinese food in small white boxes / Lived a life we saw in Friends / Your room it barely fits the mattress, wake up late for work again.

Courteney then said: ‘Wait, that was really about the show Friends?’
Ed replied: ‘Well inspired by it, yeah. Because you eat Chinese food in small white boxes, living the life we saw in Friends.’
Courteney joked: ‘Wow I love that, wow. Do I get paid?’
Alongside the video, shared on Instagram, Ed wrote: ‘Impromptu kitchen jam of American Town with my landlady @courteneycoxfficial, sorry for the late rent, I’m good for it.’
Ed and Courteney have been friends for over 10 years and he even introduced the Friends star to her partner Johnny McDaid, who is in the band Snow Patrol.

Ed, along with film director Ben Winston, were seen going out for dinner in Malibu with Courteney and Johnny earlier this month.
Courteney and Johnny have been dating since 2013 and announced their engagement in June 2014.
However, the broke off their engagement in 2019 but remain together.
The actress was previously married to her Scream co-star David Arquette, 51, from 1999 to 2010.
