Eamonn Holmes has ‘no hard feelings’ towards ex Ruth Langsford and is simply concentrating on ‘living his life’ despite reports that he was ‘seething’ over her recent trip to Australia.
A source told MailOnline that Eamonn was baffled by reports he was raging over her long-haul flight because he had always struggled to get Ruth to travel with him during their marriage.
They said: ‘It’s all nonsense. He’s living his life and there are no hard feelings. He’s never flown into a rage and it’s just laughable that he would.’
Ruth has just returned from her quick trip to Australia, for her I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! appearance.
And GB News presenter Eamonn 65, made his red carpet debut with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander at a star-studded TRIC Christmas Lunch at The Londoner Hotel on Tuesday.
While a number of the former couple’s friends were at the bash, Ruth, 64, was noticeably absent as she filmed ITV2 spin-off show I’m A Celebrity Unpacked.
It had been reported that Eamonn was ‘completely baffled and a bit hurt’ by Ruth’s appearance on the show Down Under as she always told him she hated flying.

It had been reported that Eamonn was ‘completely baffled and a bit hurt’ by Ruth’s appearance on the show Down Under as she always told him she hated flying.
MailOnline have contacted both Eamonn and Ruth’s representative for comment.
Eamonn jokingly revealed in 2019 that Ruth will only board a plane if she’s had several alcoholic drinks because she’s such a nervous flyer.
He cheekily suggested that’s how his wife gets over her fear as they discussed being a nervous flyer on This Morning at the time.
Eamonn said: ‘Ruthie does not like aeroplanes, that is not an easy task.’
Ruth added: ‘I’m not completely phobic, but a lot of people will be like that where they feel uncomfortable. For others it really does stand in their way of travelling.’
Eamonn cut in, adding: ‘Ruth has the perfect solution. She drinks to forget. She drinks before the flight, she drinks during the flight and she drinks after the flight. It helps her forget.’

Laughing, Ruth claimed: ‘It’s a little dutch courage’, before adding, ‘You’re not doing my PR any good this morning, are you?’
Eamonn was only winding up his beloved wife at the time as they both co-presented the ITV show.
It comes after Ruth revealed she was worrying about her appearance on I’m A Celebrity as she shared behind-the-scenes snaps of the floods causing chaos on set earlier this week.
Since touching down at Brisbane Airport, Ruth had been keeping her social media followers up-to-date on her adventures, and has shared several clips showcasing the torrential rain that she has been experiencing during her time on set.
On Saturday, she posted a video of her glam squad getting her ready, and said the ‘miracle workers’ only had 10 minutes to do her hair and makeup by the time they made it in to camp.
A source close to Ruth has now told MailOnline: ‘Ruth’s biggest worry about being in the jungle is her hair. She’ll have a new hairstyle tonight, as with all the downpour of major rain in the jungle it has played havoc with her barnet!’
The I’m A Celebrity camp has been hit by the worst rain in the show’s 22 year history with three metre floods causing chaos as the entrance to the Jungle was cut off by cascading water.
The show’s longtime host, Ant McPartlin, 49, said: ‘The rain has been really bad, it’s probably the worst rain we’ve ever had doing this show.
‘It was touch and go, we nearly didn’t make it into the camp.’
He cheekily said: ‘Ruthie does not like aeroplanes, that is not an easy task. Ruth has the perfect solution. She drinks to forget. She drinks before the flight, she drinks during the flight and she drinks after the flight. It helps her forget’

It comes after Ruth teased a potential return to This Morning as she touched down at Brisbane Airport.
ITV flew Ruth in as she is close to campmates Jane Moore, 62, and also works with GK Barry, 25, on the Loose panel.
After her gruelling 23-hour flight from Heathrow Airport, Ruth appeared in great spirits in her stylish travel attire.
Ruth hosted This Morning every Friday and in school holidays alongside estranged husband Eamonn Holmes for 14 years.
In 2020 the pair were dropped from their Friday slot and replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
Ruth announced her split from the broadcaster, also 64, in June after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
And it appears Ruth is eyeing up a possible return to the programme, following the news that Martin Frizell is stepping down from This Morning.
On Wednesday, it was revealed the ITV stalwart, 65, had quit after 10 years in charge to be ‘around much more’ for wife Fiona Phillips, 63, as she battles Alzheimer’s disease.

Eamonn has been dating counsellor Katie Alexander, 43, since his split from Ruth and had her by his side as he hosted the Irish Post Awards in London
But commenting on whether she would now return to This Morning, Ruth said: ‘Never say never.’
It comes after Phillip Schofield left after an affair with a younger male colleague and his slot with Holly Willoughby has been filled by Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
When asked about the major shake-up on the show, Ruth said: ‘I haven’t been there for two years so I don’t take much notice.’
The mother-of-one also confirmed she would ‘never’ appear in the jungle.
As her trip comes ahead of her first Christmas without Eamonn, Ruth revealed she was ‘excited’ to be in Australia as she had never been there before.
Ruth joined the Loose Women panel in 1999 and became a regular anchor in 2013. Jane also joined in 1999 and became a regular panellist in 2013.
