Duncan James has paid tribute to his best friend after his death.
The Blue singer, 46, shared that his friend Terry John has died with a moving Instagram post shared on Wednesday night.
Duncan told fans Terry, who was also known as Groover and worked as a model and choreographer, was like family as he shared a video of their years together.
‘Sadly it’s just been confirmed my best friend has passed. Terry aka Groover was such an amazing person, he was my best Judy and I regarded him as family,’ Duncan wrote alongside the video montage soundtracked by The Prodigy hit Firestarter.
‘Everyone that met him fell in love with him and wanted to take care of him. He was the most loving, giving and caring person I knew and I honestly can’t believe I will never see him again,’ Duncan continued.

‘I’m truly heartbroken from his loss as will many, who were lucky enough to know him.’
‘I will miss you so so much my little groove, ur bants, ur cussing, ur jokes, ur 4 min voice notes and most of all ur handsome face. Your now with ur mum and Tpt in spirit and I know ur gonna be finally at peace.
‘I love u so much Terry and I know ur light is gonna shine even brighter from up there. May God bless you for eternity and may you rest in peace.
‘I ask for privacy and respect at this difficult time, for myself, his closest friends and family.’
Terry had a successful modelling career, walking runways for brands including Armani, Hugo Boss and David Beckham, as well as working with Adidas for 10 years.
He was also a dancer and choreographer, appearing in music videos for Kelis and working alongside major artists like Whitney Houston, Kylie Minogue, Rihanna, and Girls Aloud.
As a creative director he worked around the world on campaign shoots and music tours, including regularly working with Duncan’s band Blue.
Duncan’s celebrity friends sent messages of support with many sharing their own memories of Terry.

Towie’s Amy Childs said: ‘Terry was a lovely beautiful person xx.’
