Chris Hemsworth left Drew Barrymore blushing after he revealed that he saw her in a hair salon during a very awkward encounter.
The Australian actor appeared on the Drew Barrymore Show this week for the first time and the American actress was quick to recall that they’d almost met before.
The pair were both getting their hair done in the same place in Los Angeles a decade ago – but Drew was too starstuck to introduce herself.
Unfortunately for Drew, Chris had already spotted her.
‘There was this one time that I was in an area where you were at and I feel like I still kick myself,’ she told an amused Chris, who instantly recalled the encounter.
‘This is hilarious! So I was getting my hair either tipped and blonded or darkened or something for a movie called Blackhat’ he said, laughing.
Drew interjected: ‘I was too nervous to go up to you. But the whole hour or two that I was sitting there, I was like, ‘I just want to meet Chris Hemsworth. I just want to meet him and I want to say hello’.’
Chris tried to soothe the embarrassed former child star, telling her he was, ‘thinking the same thing’.

‘I just so wanted to be respectful. I was freaking out the whole time!’ Drew said.
‘I still too get so excited about people. For three weeks, since we’ve known you were coming on this show, we were like, ‘Chris Hemsworth is coming on the show.’ I’ll never lose sight of how incredible that is’ the Firestarter star admitted.
Chris had another awkward experience on Thursday after a trainwreck red carpet interview.
KIIS FM producer Pete Deppeler, better known on air as ‘Intern Pete’, managed to nab a chat with Chris at the Sydney premiere of Transformers One on Wednesday.
The Q&A got off to a rocky start when Pete asked Chris a question about his Transformers One co-star Megan Fox’s sex symbol status.
‘This whole franchise made Megan Fox famous around the world,’ Pete said.

‘Are you excited to become a sex symbol now you’re in Transformers?’
Clearly ‘stumped’ by the line of questioning, Chris answered: ‘I played the animation version of Megan Fox in this film.’
After some awkward laughter between the two, Pete asked Chris if his question made him laugh.
‘You stumped me,’ Chris replied. ‘I don’t know where to go from that question.’
The interview went downhill from there when Pete presented the Thor star with two envelopes.
One, Pete explained, contained a question ‘so inappropriate, I’ll get fired but the movie will go to number one,’ while the other was a boring question that wouldn’t inspire people to see the film.
Chris chose the former and Pete promptly asked: ‘If you had to compare you and your brothers p***ses to a Transformer who would you have? Bumblebee, Megatron or Optimus Prime?’
Kyle and Jackie both criticised Pete for not letting Chris give his answer, which the producer explained was due to him being ‘manhandled’ by a publicist.
