Drew Barrymore isn’t afraid to kiss and tell.
During Wednesday’s episode of her talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, the 49-year-old actress revealed she had a secret bathroom hook-up with Chloë Sevigny back in the 1990s.
‘We had a really amazing hang time at the Sunset Marquis Hotel,’ the mother-of-two recalled. ‘We were getting together, we had a long dinner. We were talking about a story that I was so passionate about, which ended up becoming a film that Chloë was not only in, but got nominated for an Academy Award for called Boys Don’t Cry.’
The Charlie’s Angels star went on to tease that she thought she would turn their ‘intimate, fun moment in the Sunset Marquis into a trivia question’ for her show.
‘We should! We’re entertainers!’ Sevigny, also 49, replied.

The performers proceeded to pick a woman in the audience to answer a question for the possibility of a $1,000 prize, if correct.
‘We shared something in the bathroom in the ‘90s. What was it?’ Barrymore asked, before giving the options of lipstick, toilet paper, or a kiss.
After the woman selected lipstick as her final answer, Barrymore mused: ‘Well, it did involve lipstick.’
‘It was the ‘90s!’ Sevigny said, with a laugh.
Barrymore added: ‘It was the ‘90s. It was a kiss. We were very free and just having the best time and it was just the sexiest, cutest, most [meow].’
Despite getting the question wrong, Barrymore decided to still award the woman in the audience the $1,000 prize, under the playful condition that she ‘go out and buy a bunch of lipstick.’
During the interview, Sevigny also made a rare remark about her relationship with her husband, Siniša Mačković, who she met through their mutual friend.
‘[My friend] said “I know this guy, he works in a gallery. We love to talk about art and stuff, and I think you’d really like his humor,”‘ she recalled.

Despite hitting it off right away, Sevigny admitted that she had to give him an ultimatum to move forward as a couple.
‘[I knew] when I was initiating all of our dates. Like, “If you don’t start initiating, this is over.” And he took charge,’ she mused.
Sevigny married her husband Siniša Mačković in May of 2020 in a secret ceremony in New York’s City Hall. Less than two months later, they welcomed their son.
Two years after their marriage, they celebrated with their loved ones by throwing a bash in Darien, Connecticut, where the Big Love alumna grew up.

According to Vogue, the pair was introduced through a mutual friend but did not meet in person until they crossed paths later at a Gagosian opening.
They saw each other at social settings various times before they started dating.
When they found out they were expecting, Sevigny and Mačković celebrated with a couple’s getaway in Turks and Caicos.
It was there her now-husband proposed and, shortly thereafter, the couple eloped in New York City.
Though Sevigny has chosen to keep many details about her family life private, she did open up to The Cut ahead of her son’s arrival, talking about when she learned her child’s gender.
‘When I found out I was having a boy, I had to wrap my head around that, as I am so girly. I don’t even have that many boy friends; all of my friends are girls. I just relate better to girls. I’m like, what the hell am I going to do with a boy?’ she shared.

Despite her initial hesitation, she shared that she was ‘thrilled and so excited about the whole thing.’
Sevigny previously admitted that their pregnancy was not planned in an interview with LA Magazine in 2020, saying ‘It was a real shocker. This was an accident. I didn’t think I’d ever have kids. I just acquiesced that it was not going to happen for me.’
Sevigny is best known for her role as Nicolette Grant on the HBO series Big Love, which she starred on from 2006 to 2011.
Over her career, she’s won a Golden Globe, Satellite Award and Independent Spirit Award. Additionally, she’s been nominated for an Oscar and three SAG Awards.
