The 49-year-old actress got candid about the early milestone while discussing actor Bobby Cannavale’s pre-fame gig as a NYC doorman during Friday’s episode of her eponymous talk show.
After Bobby told Drew that he had worked at the iconic Limelight, she responded, ‘I went to Limelight, I had my 10th birthday party at Limelight.’
The TV host, who starred in E.T. at the age of seven, added with a smile: ‘I had been going to clubs for three years at that point. I went to Studio 54, I went to Limelight, I went to Nell’s. You name it, I was there.’
The admission comes as no surprise to fans of the actress, as it is well known she suffered a tumultuous childhood, fueled by early exposure to drugs and alcohol.

Born into a renowned acting family, she catapulted into fame at a young age, starring in such iconic films as E.T. and Firestarter.
However, it was accompanied by struggles with substance abuse, which began when she was as young as nine years old.
The early success was also juxtaposed with personal turmoil, as she grappled with her parents’ divorce and the absence of her father, John Drew Barrymore.
By her early teens, Drew’s drug and alcohol abuse had escalated, leading to a series of legal troubles and stints in rehabilitation facilities.
She sought treatment for cocaine and alcohol abuse by the time she was 13, which is also when she was legally emancipated from mom Jaid Barrymore.
Despite these hardships, Barrymore eventually overcame her struggles, rebuilt her life, and emerged as a successful actress, producer, and entrepreneur.
Drew has always been candid about her past – including about how her mother, Jaid, profited from her and her talents before sending her off into the dark depths of fame.
After she shot to fame, the star found herself spiraling – placing the blame on her mother, who wanted to find her role in Hollywood through her daughter.

At 15, Drew (seen in 1984) decided she needed a fresh start and got emancipated from her parents before going out to live on her own at an apartment in West Hollywood
Last year, while speaking to New York Magazine, the Charlie’s Angels actress opened up about her true feelings regarding her mother and said that she ‘couldn’t wait’ for her mother to ‘be gone,’ as she admitted that she feels envious of her friends who have lost their parents.
Later on in the interview, Drew pulled back and confessed that she regretted making the comments that she did about her mother – adding that she would always ‘care,’ despite their rocky past.
Following her tumultuous adolescence, Drew reclaimed the spotlight with memorable performances in films like The Wedding Singer and Never Been Kissed in the late 1990s.
And while the actress struggled grappling with her childhood when it was occurring, in the years following she noted that the entire experience made her much stronger (seen in 1982)
In 2020, Drew added talk show host to her resume as she made her start on-air talking to people from all paths of life
Her transition into producing further solidified her place in the industry, with successful projects such as the Charlie’s Angels franchise.
Amidst her professional triumphs, Drew found personal fulfillment in her marriage to Will Kopelman in 2012.
The couple welcomed two daughters, Olive in 2012 and Frankie in 2014, marking a new chapter of happiness and stability in Barrymore’s life.
Despite the couple’s subsequent divorce in 2016, Drew continues to prioritize her role as a devoted mother while maintaining a successful career in acting, producing, and entrepreneurship.
