The Revenge Of The Nerds star is survived by his loved ones, who will be honoring his last wishes following the late actor's death at age 71 on Tuesday.
His family will be spreading his ashes but have decided to keep the details of the meaningful moment private, according to TMZ.
The family is still in the process of planning service arrangements.
Gibb was battling throat and also had a heart attack in the weeks leading up to his death.
Gibb's son Travis previously confirmed the actor's death in a statement shared with TMZ.

He said his father was surrounded by family when he passed away from health complications, which Travis attributed to Gibb's cancer battle, at his home in Texas.
Gibb previously rose to fame in the 80s and was perhaps best known for playing the hulking, dimwitted fraternity brother Frederick 'Ogre' Palowaski in the Revenge of the Nerds movie series.
He starred in the 1984 original film as well as the 1987 sequel, Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise.

'Rest in peace, my brother,' the actor wrote on his Instagram Story alongside a throwback photo of them together.

Gibb's children shared a statement with People following the passing of their 'beloved father.' 'Donald loved the Lord, his family, his friends, and his fans with all his heart,' the Gibb family shared.
