DJ Fisher Spends $20K on Uber Eats for Sweet Craving

When it comes to ordering takeaway, it appears DJ Fisher has some very expensive taste.

The hitmaker, 38, has revealed he spent an eye-watering $20,000 to have a boozy beverage shipped from Australia to Ibiza.

Aside from his skill on the decks, Fisher – real name Paul Nicholas Fisher – is also part-owner of popular alcoholic seltzer brand Hard Fizz.

Fisher, who has been on the Spanish party island for the past few months, was apparently craving a taste of his vodka.

Not letting the tyranny of distance come between him and his tipple, Fisher enlisted the help of his mate and business partner, Joel Scott.

Perhaps auditioning for a gig with Uber Eats, Joel travelled from Sydney to Ibiza to hand-deliver the beverage to Fisher.

It wasn’t a direct trip, either. Joel had to take four flights – from Sydney to Doha, then Milan and finally Ibiza – all to wet Fisher’s whistle.

The total distance of the route was 17,000 kilometres and cost Fisher an astonishing $20,000 in travel costs.

‘What can I say, I was craving some of that sweet nectar,’ Fisher said in a statement.

‘Five stars for JS, best Uber Eats delivery guy on the planet.’

Footage documenting the Herculean journey shows Joel faithfully carrying a can of Hard Fizz Pineapple Vodka from a fridge, halfway around the world to DJ Fisher, who happily accepts the beverage as he stands expectantly on a boat off the Ibiza coast.

Another clip shows the superstar enjoying his favourite tipple behind the decks as he performs for a packed house.

Fisher is not the first Aussie celebrity to admit to a penchant for dropping big bucks on food delivery.

Back in January, AFL great and broadcaster Brendan Fevola left tennis legend Andy Murray speechless after revealing his absolutely staggering Uber Eats bill.

While interviewing Andy on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick, Fevola disclosed that he once spent an astonishing $36,000 on Uber Eats in a single year.

‘I want to tell you a little stat. I order Uber Eats all the time… we sent a letter to Uber Eats to see where we rank [nationwide] in a year,’ Fevola told Murray.

‘Fi [Fifi Box] had spent about $3,500 AUD… and I was ranked in the top 0.001% of Australians. I was pretty much the number one Uber Eats [customer].’

Murray was stunned by the confession.
