Disney star Dove Cameron shows off massive diamond sparkler as she confirms engagement to Maneskin rocker

Dove Cameron officially confirmed her engagement to Måneskin frontman Damiano David by flashing a jaw-dropping diamond ring on social media. 

The former Disney star made the reveal on Instagram on Saturday, nearly two months after the news first exploded online.

‘My favourite part of being alive, happy new year,’ Cameron, 29, captioned a series of loved-up photos with the 26-year-old rocker, proudly displaying her oversized engagement sparkler. 

Dressed in a plunging red gown, the actress posed confidently as the emerald-cut diamond took center stage in one sultry shot. 

Another image showed the heavily tattooed musician wrapping his arms around his bride-to-be as they smiled and embraced during what appeared to be a New Year’s Eve celebration.

The reveal comes after the couple first fueled engagement buzz in October, when they were photographed in Sydney wearing matching black outfits – with Cameron already sporting a glittering ring on her finger.

Representatives for both Cameron and David did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment. 

The pair have been together for two years, officially confirming their relationship in February 2024. 

Cameron later marked the milestone in October 2025 by sharing a series of intimate photos and videos offering glimpses into their romance. 

She shared the post with her over 47 million follower with the sweet caption: ‘the 2 best years of my life. i am brought to tears at least once a week because life has become so beautiful with you in it. 

‘i love you in a way no words could ever express, but i will never stop trying. buon anniversario amore mio.’

Dove is best known for her dual roles in Disney Channel comedy series Liv And Maddie from 2013 to 2017 before starring as the lead in the three Descendants film franchise movies from 2015 to 2021.

Damiano is the lead vocalist for Italian rock band Måneskin as the foursome famously won the Eurovision Song Contest for Zitti e Buoni as the act is known for their racy antics and upping the sexuality during their concerts.

Dove and Damiano have been dating for nearly two years after initially meeting at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2022.

Their relationship was confirmed when they made their red carpet debut at the 2024 pre-Grammy Gala.

Dove spoke publicly about their romance in a June 2024 interview with Cosmopolitan. 

After she met Damiano and his band, she said, ‘A couple months later, their team had reached out to me about coming to their album release and I couldn’t make it work with the dates, but I was like, “Oh, that’s so sweet that they thought about me. We only met once.”‘

 She added, ‘At one point, the band and I had been thinking about doing a collaboration. 

‘They had recorded something, so I went in and I recorded over that track. They’d asked me to open for them on their tour and I couldn’t make it happen.’

The former Disney star explained, ‘There were just these passing-ships-in-the-night things happening. So when we met again at the 2023 VMAs, we had a reason to talk to each other.’ 

She noted about the way her now-boyfriend approached her, ‘And when he came up to me, it felt like…I don’t know, a year can do a lot. It felt like it had been 10 years or something.’

The star gushed about her beau, ‘He’s a Capricorn, so he was very much like, “Okay, these are my intentions.” It was super honorable. He’s like a 1950s gentleman, angel, teddy bear. He’s the best person I’ve met in my life.’

And she said they find common ground in their sensitivity.

‘From the outside, it looks like it was very hot and heavy, and it looks like it was overnight, but we had both been in situations where we were very harmed in the past and we are very sensitive people,’ she reflected.
