Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell has hit back after a troll criticised her for competing in the dance show while pregnant.
The professional dancer, 36, revealed earlier this month that she and boyfriend Joe Sugg, 34, are expecting their first child together – a baby boy.
After making her first appearance with celebrity partner Stefan Dennis during the launch show, she has faced online trolling for competing while expecting.
But after just a week into the show, Dianne responded to a troll who said they found it both ‘uncomfortable and inappropriate’ that she was competing on the show while pregnant.
They wrote in full: ‘I don’t want to see her dance being pregnant, it’s already feeling uncomfortable and she’s only starting to show. It’s really not appropriate.’
Sharing the comment, she wrote: ‘I can’t believe in 2025 things like this are still being said.’

Her fans flocked to her support as one person reposted Dianne’s story and said that she was inspirational for still doing the show.
They wrote: ‘Saw @diannebuswell’s story and just had to say something.
‘Her dancing pregnant in strictly this year is nothing short of beautiful and magical. Women’s bodies are INCREDIBLE and I don’t actually think some people realise that.
‘This will show all of those people who believe this weird, twisted notion that women should hide away when they’re carrying a baby that women are. capable of so much more & can do anything.
‘You’re inspirational and incredible. We as a family cannot wait to watch you doing what you love and were born to do again every weekend. And we will be cheering you on as always beautiful’.
Ahead of the launch show, Dianne made a sweet nod to her unborn baby boy as she posed in a stunning promotional photo.
With her back turned to the camera, Dianne looked effortlessly chic in a sparkling silver dress adorned with shimmering blue tassels, as blue and gold confetti drifted down around her.
She completed the look with a silver choker, blue-and-silver drop earrings, and a sweep of blue eyeliner, which fans believe could be a nod to the boy she’s expecting.

Sharing the glamorous snap on Instagram, Dianne wrote: ‘There she goes again officially about to kick of my 9th season.
‘Strictly launch show is on tonight 18.40 @bbcone @bbcstrictly who’s tuning in @jessieefromtheblock.’
Fellow Strictly pros and fans were quick to gush over the glamorous photo in the comments.

Dianne shared her joyful pregnancy news on Instagram.
For their pregnancy reveal video, poignantly set to Elton John’s Tiny Dancer, the couple set up an easel and pretended to paint a picture together, with playful dramatics.
They then picked up the canvas to display it to the camera, revealing a drawing of two stickmen – one with Dianne’s signature flaming red hair – holding hands with a baby.
The couple added that their first child was due in 2026 and even revealed the sex of their little one, declaring they were expecting a son.

And Dianne has made lots of hints towards their baby plans in recent months, admitting in May that she was desperate to become a mum.
But the star, who won the Glitterball Trophy with partner Chris McCausland last year, explained that the gruelling demands of her showbiz career had put their family plans on hold.
She told The Sun: ‘I would like to have children, 100 per cent. Joe and I love kids, and that’s definitely something that we would absolutely love. I haven’t really thought about how many I would like. It will definitely happen.’
