The late, great Diane Keaton received a touching tribute to her indelible style on the runway of Vogue World 2025 in Hollywood on Sunday two weeks after her shock passing at age 79.
Next Model Betsy Gaghan strutted through Paramount Pictures Studios in a similar menswear-inspired look the eccentric tastemaker donned for her Oscar-winning performance in her ex Woody Allen’s 1977 satirical rom-com, Annie Hall.
The 24-year-old nepo baby of Oscar-winning screenwriter Stephen Gaghan said modeling Diane’s white blouse, dotted necktie, brown corduroy vest, and pleated khaki trousers ‘an honor’ via Instastory.
Betsy wore minimal make-up and completed her retro attire with a tennis racket stuffed inside a white tote before topping her messy locks with one of Keaton’s signature wide-brimmed hats.
As Gaghan walked down the catwalk, the Fashion First author’s voice could be heard singing Carmen Lombardo and John Jacob Loeb’s 1945 standard Seems Like Old Times on the loudspeaker just like at the end of the movie.
The 89-year-old disgraced director once revealed he was forced to intervene when Annie Hall costume designer Ruth Morley clashed with his onscreen leading lady’s ideas for her jazz-crooning titular character.

‘The costume lady on Annie Hall said, “Tell her not to wear that. She can’t wear that. It’s so crazy,”‘ Woody (born Allen Konigsberg) recalled in a 1992 interview.
‘And I said, “Leave her. She’s a genius. Let’s just leave her alone, let her wear what she wants.”‘
And that workplace practice continued on countless other films as Diane told People last year: ‘Normally I let the costumer pick from my closet so I am focused on making sure I get back all of my personal items, to be honest.’
But when WWD asked Keaton (born Hall) if she was surprised about the lasting fashion impact of Annie Hall last year, she scoffed: ‘Yes. I think it is a credit to the movie⦠not me.’
On Vogue’s Instagram video of the memorable moment, Running Point showrunner and rom-com connoisseur Mindy Kaling commented: ‘Incredible.’
‘We needed this!’ Instagram user @halanscott agreed. ‘What a legacy Diane Keaton left behind.’
Insagram user @kristinayensan commented: ‘Beautiful. Like her ghost walking through the lot, her spirit remembering all that was and still finding joy. Love this.’
‘Oh, this just gave me chills,’ Instagram user @blend_in_stand_out wrote.
‘A talent and personality like Diane deserves to be referenced and resurfaced in every which way.’
And Instagram user @angelica_xtina posted a gif of Diane saying ‘thank you.’
