The carpeting at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium was plastered over a speed bump, with A-List guests unknowingly tripping when they reached the hazard.
AFL star Jason Akermanis’ daughter went tumbling, falling over briefly as her father rushed to her aide.
Nathan Buckley also tripped, but managed to regain his footing as his girlfriend Brodie Ryan gave him a hand.
Businesswoman Susan Alberti also almost went over, stumbling before she righted her stride.

The disastrous turn of events resulted in event organisers to dispatch staff to the red carpet to warn guests to watch their footing and avoid the upcoming speed bump.
Sports presenter Tony Jones told 9News Melbourne: ‘They’ve had to put it (the red carpet) over a speed bump in the driveway.
‘Once they saw a number of people stumbling as they went down this dip, the AFL dispatched a couple of staff members just to warn people what was coming up.
‘It wasn’t that great and there were a few nervous moments.’
Brodie and Nathan managed to clean themselves up for their red carpet photos soon after their near fall.

The WAG opted for a plunging, deep emerald gown with pointed accents and a thigh-high split.
She added a glittering diamond choker and matching earrings, as well as strappy black heels.
Brodie chose a polished makeup look with rust-toned eye shadow and nude lipstick, while wearing her brunette hair pulled off her face.
Her partner Buckley chose a classic tuxedo with a well-tailored slim fit.
He added a black bowtie and white pocket square to the look along with a pair of patent leather dress shoes.
