In an effort to keep ex-husband Charlie Sheen alive while he was struggling with his drug addiction, Denise Richards once made food for him and for the prostitutes he had hired, the star revealed this week.
Richards, 54, did not hold back when talking about that troubling time period.
‘They would call me all the f***ing time to go there because I can’t get fired. I was your ex-wife, I was already fired,’ she told him in the second episode of the Netflix documentary aka, Charlie.
Richards revealed one incident in which she went to check on Sheen after he had been missing for two days while shooting the hit series Two and a Half Men.
‘When they were desperate, they were like, “Could you please come over and see if he’s alive? We haven’t seen him for two days.” And so, then I would pound on his door. And then I’d keep pounding. I’m like, “Open the f*** up!”‘ she explained.
One time after Richards had shown up with food for the actor, Sheen’s co-star Jon Cryer, 60, turned up at the house as well.

‘I’m making sandwiches and Jon was super nervous and he goes, “What are you doing?” I go, “Well, he hasn’t eaten and I’m making sandwiches.”
‘And then you see two or three hookers come downstairs.
‘And I remember Jon asking me, “Are you making them sandwiches?” and I go, “Well, yeah. What am I gonna say? Sorry, because of what you do for a living, you don’t get one of my white trash mayo, mustard, turkey, cheese, lettuce sandwiches?”‘
Richards, who shares daughters Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, with the Wall Street star, explained, ‘It wasn’t like I was making a gourmet sandwich. Like, I’m trying to help keep him good.’
The World is Not Enough actress also compared Sheen during that time to the dead body from Weekend At Bernie’s, revealing how those around the actor would just ‘prop him up’ to get him to sign things, to make money off him.
Sheen and his next wife, Brooke Mueller, 48, were both sober when they married in 2008 and welcomed twins Bob and Max in March 2009.
At one point both relapsed and began using again.
Richards received a call after Sheen had not turned up on the set of Two and a Half Men, and when star Jon Cryer, 60 turned up at Sheen’s house, he found her making sandwiches for Sheen and the prostitutes Sheen had hired

They separated in 2010.
Amid their messy split, the boys were removed from Mueller’s custody when they were four due her erratic behavior, and placed with Richards for about a year.
In 2011, the Wild Things star started noticing Sheen was ‘really sick.’
The actor seemed to think he needed a ‘cocaine detox,’ but Richards was adamant it was more serious.
‘I said, “No, I’ve seen you detox before, this ain’t it,”‘ she told the camera.
‘I go, “There is something wrong and I don’t want to scare you, but when was the last time you had been tested for HIV?”‘
Sheen has said he was ‘kind of f–king relieved,’ when he got the diagnosis, because it was now treatable.

He revealed his diagnosis in 2015, and said that thanks to the medications he was on, his viral load is undetectable.
Sheen has reconciled with his sons, who now live with them as their mother works on her sobriety.
He and Richards have remained on good terms and both she supported him at the premier of aka Charlie in Los Angeles on September 3.
Sheen has also appeared in his ex’s reality show Denise Richards and Her Wild Things on Bravo.
