Demi Moore opened up about her enduring bond with ex-husband Bruce Willis amid his dementia diagnosis, offering a glimpse into their evolving relationship.
The 62-year-old Substance star, who was recently crowned People’s Most Beautiful Person, and the 69-year-old Moonlighting actor were married from 1989 to 2000 and share daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31.
Though Demi and Bruce parted ways years ago, love found them both again.
Demi married Ashton Kutcher in 2005, though their marriage ended with a finalized divorce in 2013, while Bruce found lasting happiness with model Emma Heming, and together they have two daughters, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10.
But despite the shifting tides of romance, Moore insists, ‘I am most grateful that regardless of what the outside relationship has been, we have maintained being a family in various forms,’ she told People on Tuesday.
‘The foundation of making our children our priority has never wavered.’

‘I feel really so lucky,’ she told the outlet.
This heartfelt moment comes after Demi revealed she visits Bruce weekly, further emphasizing her unwavering commitment to their family.
‘We will always be a family, just in a different form,’ Moore told Variety.
‘I hope it’s encouraging for others to see that there’s a different way to do things,’ Moore said of the friendship and Willis still have after their divorce.
‘There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love,’ Demi explained.
Willis’ family first revealed his FTD diagnosis in February 2023, following his retirement from acting due to aphasia, a brain disorder that affects speech and language comprehension.
Since then, the Hollywood icon has been showered with love and unwavering support from his family.

Last month, Emma opened up about their journey, emphasizing that she doesn’t ‘shield’ their young daughters from the reality of Bruce’s condition.
During an interview with Town & Country Magazine, Heming explained, ‘This disease is misdiagnosed, it’s missed, it’s misunderstood.
‘So finally getting to a diagnosis was key so that I could learn what frontotemporal dementia is and I could educate our children,’ she admitted.
Emma added, ‘I’ve never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They’ve grown up with Bruce declining over the years. I’m not trying to shield them from it.’

‘I’m certainly more comfortable in my own skin at this point than I have ever been,’ she said in her cover story, emphasizing the freedom in embracing all parts of herself.
While Moore admits to moments of insecurity, like thinking, ‘God, I look old,’ she recognizes that these feelings don’t define her value.
‘It doesn’t define my value or who I am,’ she explained.
