Demi Lovato drops ‘unseen’ bikini snaps as she flaunts stunning 50lb weight loss to welcome the new year

Demi Lovato is clearly enjoying her bikini era as she shared several ‘unseen (little) bits’ of herself in swimwear to commemorate the past year and usher in the New Year.

The 33-year-old pop star went topless for one sunbathing snap while on her honeymoon on the French Polynesian isle of Bora Bora last June.

Lovato showcased her suspiciously slim 5ft3in figure in a black string bikini with sparkly silver embellishment.

In another image, the two-time Grammy nominee played with her ponytail while poolside wearing a white backless one-piece swimsuit.

Over the past five years, Lovato has transformed her body by reportedly shedding 50lbs, and many believe she did so by taking a trendy GLP-1 agonist drug like Ozempic.

The FDA has only approved three GLP-1 drugs specifically for weight loss – the semaglutide Wegovy, the liraglutide Saxenda and the tirzepatide Zepbound – and the rest are specifically for patients suffering from type 2 diabetes.

Celebrities who’ve admitted to taking the diabetic injectables include Oprah Winfrey, Kathy Bates, Amy Schumer, Kelly Clarkson, Whoopi Goldberg, Serena Williams, Meghan Trainor, Elon Musk, Rebel Wilson, Chelsea Handler, Sharon Osbourne and Tori Spelling.

But for every celebrity who admits to hopping aboard the Ozempic train, there are many more who’ve remained suspiciously silent while slimming including Selena Gomez, Mindy Kaling, Melissa McCarthy, Khloé Kardashian, Lana Del Rey, Christina Aguilera and Ricki Lake.

The Kiss songstress has never confirmed nor denied using Ozempic, but she shared a gym selfie in her new Instagram slideshow.

‘What a year!’ Lovato wrote to her 260.6 million social media followers.

‘Snow, slopes and snuggles. Wholesome fun and games and still serving c***y. Married era honeymoon with my honey. It’s not that deep! Leo [season and] nostalgia outside. Baby’s first fashion week! Thankful. The most wonderful time. 2025, you’ve outdone yourself.’

Indeed, the homeschooled millennial married her backup singer Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes on May 25 in Santa Barbara.

‘Best year of my life by so much,’ the Canadian 34-year-old gushed on Instagram.

‘I got married to my best friend. I went on my first headline tour that somehow tripled in size by the time it was over. I got on billboards, magazine covers, performed on tv and did a bunch of stuff I didn’t think was still possible for me… dreams I was about to give up on came true this year.’

Lovato originally met Lutes in 2022 while recording her eighth studio album Holy Fvck, and he kicks off his 16-date Far from Dilworth Tour on May 2 at The Garage in Glasgow, Scotland.

The New Mexico-born brunette performed her songs Heart Attack, Sorry Not Sorry and Sorry to Myself during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest in Las Vegas, NV on Wednesday night.

Lovato is scheduled to kick off her 23-date It’s Not That Deep Tour on April 8 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC.

‘I’m definitely going to, like, up my strength training and cardio because I feel like I’m going to be doing more dancing,’ the Laneige paid partner told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe last October.
