Delta Goodrem could soon be gracing TV screens again, but this time in a totally unexpected format.
The pop icon, 40, is rumoured to be in talks for the upcoming season of UK series Strictly Come Dancing, with TV bosses pulling out all the stops to get her on board.
According to Woman’s Day, ‘several high-profile productions have approached Delta to appear on their shows – and one in particular has really piqued her interest.’
The British version of Dancing With The Stars is said to be leading the race, with producers hoping to add international star power to their next cast lineup.
‘There’s a real buzz about her potentially signing on,’ a source told Woman’s Day. ‘She’s got that girl-next-door charm but is also a global star – that combo is TV gold.’
‘It’s early days, but there’s genuine interest on both sides,’ the insider added.

Delta isn’t the only Aussie being eyed for the dancefloor.
Singer Natalie Imbruglia is also on producers’ radar, with a show insider saying they’re looking to create a buzz with a big-name international cast.
‘She’s incredibly selective with what she says yes to,’ the source said of Delta, ‘but this one has caught her attention.’
If she signs on, it would mark Delta’s first major return to reality television since she departed The Voice Australia in 2020 after eight seasons as a coach.
A source meanwhile told The Sun of Natalie and Delta’s potential signing: ‘Talks are at a point where things could go in a number of different directions but if both celebrities signed up then that would be seen as quite a coup for the show.
‘Delta and Natalie would bring some glamour to the programme, and be some of this year’s most eagerly anticipated competitors.
‘If all three former Neighbours stars end up performing, the Strictly dance floor will end up looking more like Ramsay Street. But the next 24 hours of discussions between execs and the stars’ reps are critical.’
Strictly is set to return later this year on the BBC.

Daily Mail has contacted Strictly representatives for comment, with a BBC spokesperson stating: ‘We don’t comment on speculation.’
Both Natalie and Delta found fame on Australian soap Neighbours before going on to launch successful pop careers.
Natalie, 50, began her acting career aged 16 as she arrived on Ramsay Street as Beth Brennan in 1992, before leaving two years later to pursue her music career.
Her pop career saw her release the huge track Torn in 1997, peaking at number two in the UK charts.
She briefly returned to Neighbours in 2022 for the soap’s final episode.
The singer wed Daniel Johns in 2003 but they divorced five years later. In 2019, Natalie announced that she’d welcomed a son conceived via IVF and an unnamed sperm donor.
Meanwhile, Delta portrayed Nina Tucker between 2002 and 2004, with her appearance helping her relaunch her career in music which began when she was just 15.
However, just as she was finding success as a singer, she was forced to step back from the limelight after being diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma aged just 18. Her cancer went into remission in December of 2003.
The star, who scored a hit with Born to Try, went on to become engaged to former Westlife star Brian McFadden in 2007 before splitting in 2011. She recently tied the knot with musician Matthew Copley.
