Dax Shepard has revealed that his 11-year-old daughter Delta can’t wait to have a baby and has even offered to pay to freeze her eggs in order to aid in her pursuit of becoming a parent.

The 51-year-old actor – who Cher recently took a swipe at – talked about his youngest daughter with wife Kristen Bell’s desire to become a mother on an episode of his Armchair Expert podcast.

Shepard – who also shares older daughter Lincoln, 12, with Bell – said: ‘Delty was saying how she can’t wait to have a baby.’

His reaction may have surprised many as he said that he believes his youngest child  will be a great mom.

The actor said: ‘For people who don’t know, our life is a traveling circus of Delty’s stuffies. The bulk of our luggage as a family are her stuffies.’

Shepard admitted that when daughter Delta had first approached him about wanting to be a mom, he focused on not seeming judgmental.

He explained: ‘She’s saying she wants to have a baby, and I said, “When do you think you’ll have your first child? When you turn 18?” I want to be supportive of whatever.

‘I don’t want to plant any seeds that I’d be judgmental or whatever.’

Shepard went on to say that his youngest child did not, in fact, want to become a parent at 18 as he guessed that she would want to welcome a child between the ages of 35 and 45.

That was when he revealed that he would assist her in any way he could as he explained: ‘I said, “If you want to, we’ll freeze your eggs when you’re 18. I’ll pay for you to get your eggs frozen so you don’t have to think about that.”‘

He added that he explained to Delta: ‘Acknowledging all luck and privilege, obviously, this isn’t an option for most people. But I think given where it’s, the trajectory it would make the most sense.

‘I think they’re going to be wrestling with the same thing every woman is. You’re gonna want to do your career.’

He also did admit that his daughter thought that his proposed age of becoming a parent was ‘too old.’

Shepard said: ‘Again, she’s 11 so that probably seems like 80. She’s thinking mid-20s.’

This came months after his wife Bell faced backlash from domestic violence advocates after sharing a disturbing anniversary post on Instagram quoting husband  Shepard saying he was ‘heavily incentivized to kill’ her.

The jarring caption, shared to mark their 12th wedding anniversary back in October, quickly ignited global outrage.

‘Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would,’ the Frozen star wrote.

The post immediately sparked backlash online, with many survivors and advocacy groups condemning it as ‘tone-deaf’ and ‘insensitive’ – particularly given that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Bell has yet to publicly address the criticism, remove the post and skipped her scheduled appearance on the Today show days after the controversial post.

At the time. The Daily Mail has reached out to Bell’s representatives multiple times, but have not heard back at this time.

The couple first met in 2004 at a friend’s birthday dinner, though Bell once admitted her first impression of the Armchair Expert host wasn’t exactly love at first sight.

‘That guy from Punk’d talks so much. Woah, he’s chatty,’ she recalled during a June 2024 appearance on SiriusXM’s Where Everybody Knows Your Name with Ted Danson & Woody Harrelson (Sometimes). ‘We had no chemistry that night.’

They reconnected three years later at a hockey game — and that’s when sparks flew, thanks to a surprisingly unsanitary (and bold) move.

‘He asked me for a piece of gum,’ Bell explained. ‘I said, ‘No, just this,’ and kind of coyly took it out of my mouth. And he grabbed it from me and goes, ‘I’ll take it.’ Then he put it in his mouth, and I was like, this guy wants to f**k me. After that, I was absolutely smitten.’

Still, things didn’t take off right away as Shepard got cold feet and briefly ended things, only to call her four days later, admitting he’d made ‘a big mistake.’

They’ve since become one of Hollywood’s most outspoken couples, known for their candid discussions about therapy, parenting and marriage.

Bell has also gushed that every new discovery about Shepard ‘leaves [her] more and more impressed.’

‘He’s so protective, he’s so loyal, he’s curious, he’s constantly researching things to get new perspective, he challenges himself, he’s self-critical,’ she said.

The pair tied the knot in 2013 after Bell re-proposed to Shepard, exchanging vows in a low-key ceremony at a Beverly Hills courthouse.
