Davina McCall, 57, Shows Ripped Abs and Announces Engagement to Michael Douglas

Davina McCall proved age really is just a number while putting Instagram followers through their paces on Wednesday afternoon. 

The newly engaged TV presenter, 57, was back in her crop top and shorts for another workout video, this time to promote a new five minute fitness challenge. 

But social media followers were more impressed with her chiselled abs than her gruelling series of exercise routines as she kicked things off with some step-ups. 

Opting for a pink vest and high-waisted gym shorts, Davina revealed a remarkably toned physique while shooting the video tutorial from her family home. 

Commenting on her her appearance, one impressed follower wrote: ‘Love Davina! Fit body goals she is amazing.’ [sic] 

A second added: ‘You look incredible!!!’ 

Evidently in agreement, a third social media follower wrote: ‘She looks AMAZING!!!!!’

While a fourth simply commented: ‘You look fab Davina.’

The fitness loving TV personality recently broke her silence after long-term boyfriend Michael Douglas proposed during a recent trip to Ibiza.

Davina recalled the celebrity hairstylist’s romantic clifftop proposal during an appearance on Chris Evans’ Virgin Radio Show, but admitted she almost ruined the moment due to her bad mood.

She said: What was quite funny was after lunch Michael had booked a lunch which was like, not that usual on a beach and he wanted to take me to a beach where we’d been with all the kids before’.

‘So I was like: “Oh, this is really nice”. And then he said: “Let’s go for a walk around the cliffs”‘. 

However, she admits her ill-judged choice of outfit left her furious as she clambered across the rugged Balearic coastline. 

She recalled: ‘I’m in some god-forsaken cowboy boot, little pink cowboy boots with steel toe caps and I’m not in a cliff climbing outfit. I could see he really wanted me to like it, it would make him happy.

“And I thought, “Oh, bless” Like he wants to show me something beautiful. So I was like: “Stop being miserable and get up the cliff”.

Davina said Michael then recited ‘something lovely’ to her, which she plans to keep private, before getting down on one knee.

The former Big Brother host explained that before his lavish proposal, her partner had spent months teasing her about tying the knot by getting down on one knee before pretending to tie his shoe lace.

‘So I’d go, “Oh my gosh, he’s proposing” And then he’d tie a pretend shoelace. So after four or five of those, it just became a joke’.

Davina was friends with Michael for years, but they only began dating after she finalised her divorce with ex-husband Matthew Robertson in April 2018.

They went public with their relationship in 2018 and by January 2023, Michael had moved in with her.

Following the news of their engagement a pal of Davina’s told The Sun: ‘She has a ring but is only wearing it in private.’

‘It is wonderful news and everyone who knows them is just so thrilled. They really do make the most gorgeous couple.’
