David Lynch Collaborator from Twin Peaks Spotted in Rare LA Outing—Guess Who?

A legendary actress who starred in the cult classic series Twin Peaks was spotted out in Los Angeles last week.

This star, who portrayed Sarah Palmer in the mystery-horror series, has over 100 credited roles under her belt, including work in An Officer and a Gentleman, Seinfeld, Big Love, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Grudge, along with the David Lynch works Inland Empire, Wild at Heart, and of course Twin Peaks.

Her acting career continues to this day, with a role in the 2025 mockumentary Bad Painter.

If you guessed Grace Zabriskie, you were correct!

Zabriskie was spotted in Los Angeles last Tuesday enjoying a sun-soaked stroll with a male companion.

The duo held hands as they strolled down a sidewalk together, her pal guiding her down the path before they approached the curb.

The TV icon wore a stylish white polka dot shirt, jeans, and purple trainers.

Zabriskie made her feature debut in the Sally Field-led workplace drama Norma Rae before moving to Hollywood in her mid-30s.

She credited the timing of her move and the fact that she already had landed an agent to her long-lasting career in an industry that prizes youth.

‘I had the advantage/disadvantage of needing to work,’ she told The Los Angeles Times in 2006. ‘“I did pretty much everything that came along.’

Ultimately, that led to her working with legendary director David Lynch, who cast her in Inland Empire, Wild at Heart and Twin Peaks.

The American TV show, created by the late Lynch and Mark Frost, first hit screens in 1990 and soon became known for its unconventional storytelling, peculiar characters and bewildering tone.

While Twin Peaks ran for just one year in the early 90s, it has continued to resonate with viewers.

‘More and more people are watching it, for the first time, and discovering it, and they’re really happy to discover it,’ she told Collider in 2014 of the show. ‘That’s exciting.’

The hit show follows the fictional character, Dale Cooper, an eccentric FBI agent who visits the town of Twin Peaks to investigate the murder of Laura Palmer, a local 17-year-old school girl.

The show, which is categorised as a surrealist mystery-horror drama, first premiered on 8 April 1990 on ABC, running for a further two seasons before eventually being cancelled a year later.

Despite its short tenure onscreen, the show amassed wide critical acclaim, scoring millions of fans globally and going on to several accolades including: a BRIT Award, a Grammy Award, a Peabody Award, three Golden Globe Awards, three TCA Awards, and two Primetime Emmy awards.

Zabriskie’s career has continued ever since Twin Peaks went off the air, but she has returned to the world of the Washington town in recent years.

In 2017 she portrayed Sarah Palmer in the Twin Peaks reboot, and also appeared as the character in Grouplove’s 2020 music video, Youth.
