Former Sunrise host David Koch returned to the breakfast show on Friday for a guest appearance, just months after quitting.
The Australian television juggernaut, 67, returned to the Channel Seven program to discuss the predicted premium increases in health insurance.
Before the segment, Matt Shirvington said: ‘We have someone very familiar here to the Sunrise couch with us.’
Kochie, who is now the Economic Director at Compare the Market, joked: ‘I’m feeling nervous. Thank you for having me. I love the show, watch it all the time.’
Matt then told Kochie he was ‘looking well rested’ as he didn’t have to wake up early to host the breakfast show.

‘I’m feeling normal and great,’ Kochie responded before saying his new role is ‘really good’ for his lifestyle.
‘It gives us a lot more flexibility and I’ve gone back to my roots of personal finance, which I’ve always loved and then a finance nerd, it’s been really good,’ he added.
He also made an appearance on the breakfast show on Thursday.
Kochie was surrounded by is family and Sunrise colleagues as he choked back tears and signed off air for the very last time on June 9.
