David Harbour’s Ex Alison Sudol Backs Lily Allen’s ‘Brutal’ Album on Cheating

David Harbour’s ex-girlfriend Alison Sudol has publicly shown her support for Lily Allen after the pop star exposed his affairs in her ‘brutal’ new album.

The actress and songwriter took to Instagram to reply to one of Lily’s posts about the new record this week.

Alison, 40, who dated David for a year in 2018 before he was first linked to the Not Fair hitmaker, replied with seven flame emojis to Lily’s post promoting the record.

West End Girl, which was released earlier this month, has drawn attention for her explicit and brutally honest lyrics about the breakdown of her four year marriage to David, which ended last December after she accused the actor of of having multiple affairs.

In her most talked about track, titled Madeline, she appears to directly address David’s infidelity with the mystery woman, who she gives the fictional moniker.

The second verse of Lily’s track Pussy Palace heartbreakingly tells how she found a shoebox of letters ‘from broken hearted women that wished you could have been better’.

While celebrating Valentines with Harbour in 2018, Alison had gushed over him in an Instagram post, describing herself as a ‘lucky woman’.

She penned: ‘I’m sitting here and I’m thinking to myself, wow, this human being that I am on this crazy journey with is pretty unbelievable.

‘What a generous, large-hearted, roaring wonder of a person I get to walk around and do stuff with. Like eat food and read books out loud and watch our dog sleep. And isn’t that great.

‘What an ignited soul, what a fire-spirit. What a brilliant artist. What a caring, deep, intuitive individual, who has changed my life completely and utterly. What a lucky woman I am.’

It’s unclear what led to Alison and David’s relationship breaking down in 2019.

Alison, who grew up in Los Angeles, is best known for her role as Queenie Goldstein in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them as well as its sequels.

The actress now has two children with fiancé Tom Cullen, and has previously opened up about heartbreakingly suffering a miscarriage.

Reflecting on the trauma, she said in 2022: ‘It doesn’t matter how much I’ve processed it or worked through it.

‘I’ve written an entire album about it. But it just remains.’

This week Lily announced she is going on her first tour in seven years, playing in theatres across the UK in March 2026.

Her first shows will kick off in Glasgow before moving to Liverpool, Newcastle, Bristol and Cardiff.

It will culminate at the London Pallidum, with Lily performing at the renowned venue for two nights.

Lily’s split from David led her to check into a £8,000-a-week trauma treatment centre at the time to focus on her mental health.

And she admitted that she has used her music as a way to work through the dark feelings she was having and to ‘lay my truth on the table’.

The mother-of-two said: ‘Nobody knew what was going on in my life. So I got into the studio, cried for two hours and then said, “Let’s make some music”.’

The Mail On Sunday exclusively revealed Madeline’s real identity and spoke to the woman at the centre of the storm at her home in the US.

Meanwhile, Lily recently dropped a huge hint she had mended her relationship with her ex-husband as she insisted she doesn’t want ‘revenge’ on him in a new interview.

During a chat with Interview magazine, Lily claimed she now feels ‘differently’ about their marriage breakdown, after first penning the record last December.

When asked whether the new album is a ‘revenge tour’, Lily said: ‘It isn’t. I mean, I wrote this record in 10 days in December and I feel very differently about the whole situation now. We all go through breakups and it’s always f***ing brutal.

‘But I don’t think it’s that often that you feel inclined to write about it while you’re in it.’

She added: ‘That’s what’s fun about this record; it’s viscerally like going through the motions. At the time, I was really trying to process things and that’s great in terms of the album, but I don’t feel confused or angry now. I don’t need revenge.
