David Harbour Unrecognizable in Fat Suit on ‘Evil Genius’ Set After Bullying Report

David Harbour was almost unrecognizable as cameras rolled on his upcoming film Evil Genius Monday in Woodbridge, New Jersey.

The White Plains, New York-born actor, 50, donned padding that made him appear much heavier, days after reports claiming his Stranger Things co-star Millie Bobby Brown had filed a harassment and bullying claim against him.

The Emmy-nominated actor sported gray hair and a beard with dark framed eyeglasses as cameras rolled on the motion picture, which Courteney Cox is directing.

Harbour shares the screen in the crime drama with Oscar-winner Patricia Arquette, as well as Michael Chernus, Garret Dillahunt, Ryan Eggold, Harlow Jane and Trevor Long.

He was pictured with a script in his hand talking to a member of the crew during Monday’s shoot in the Garden State.

Evil Genius is based on the true crime documentary from Barbara Schroeder and Trey Borzillieri focused on the case surrounding the Pizza Bomber.

In the shocking scenario, which took place more than 22 years ago, a 46 year-old pizza delivery man named Brian Wells died in Erie, Pennsylvania when a bomb detonated following a bank robbery.

‘This baffling true-crime story starts with the grisly death of a pizza man who robs a bank with a bomb around his neck – and gets weirder from there,’ a logline for the film reads.

The case has left unanswered questions even decades later.

‘I’ve been fascinated by Evil Genius since I first saw the documentary,’ Cox told Deadline in reference to the 2018 doc. ‘It’s stranger than fiction.

‘At moments darkly funny and yet deeply emotional.’

Cox described the film as ‘a story about love, loneliness, manipulation, and the people on the fringes who get pulled into something much bigger than themselves.’

Harbour is best known for playing police chief Jim Hopper on the Netflix hit Stranger Things, which is wrapping up after its fifth season.

Harbour and co-star Millie Bobby Brown recently looked friendly at the Stranger Things season five premiere party at TCL Chinese 6 Theatres November 6 in Hollywood, California.

It came after the Daily Mail revealed Harbour was probed by show officials after Brown complained about his conduct on the set.

‘Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,’ a source shared.

The source added that ‘there were pages and pages of accusations’ and that ‘the investigation went on for months.’

Stranger Things’ fifth season begins streaming on Netflix November 26.

The bullying claims arrived amid the ongoing drama following David’s separation from his estranged wife Lily Allen earlier this year.

Singer Lily, 40, released her ‘revenge’ album West End Girl last month where she appeared to accuse him of having an affair with a woman she calls Madeline.

Earlier this month, David broke his silence on his divorce from Lily.

Speaking to Esquire Spain in September before her bombshell West End Girl album release, the actor reflected on his ‘pain, slip ups and mistakes’ as he reached 50.

Lily addressed his ‘mistakes’ in the semi-autobiographical album on tracks Tennis and Madeline – which came after she discovered his three-year affair and slew of infidelities.

Lily released her single, titled Madeline which addresses David’s infidelity with lyrics: ‘I can’t trust anything that comes out of his mouth’.

The song, Tennis, sees Lily namecheck the woman, who she interrogates her partner about after seeing a text message from her appear on his phone.

Asked by the publication if there was anything he’d change about the last half a century David said: ‘That’s such a hard question – the question of regret, or something. I would change either everything or nothing.

‘You either accept your path completely and realise that even the pain and the slip-ups and the mistakes are all part of the journey, and that there’s truth and growth, wisdom and deeper empathy and connection in all that.

‘It’s kind of like a house of cards, the minute you try to change one thing you kind of have to change it all.’

He added that if he were to change anything he’d change ‘everything’ and ‘just make my life happy and silly’ but that that would in turn mean he ‘wasn’t an artist anymore’ which would ‘suck’.
