Whilst the house, which Lily sings about on her album West End Girl, was bought and renovated as a family home for the couple and Lily’s two daughters Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 12, the clip shows Lily explaining their separate lives.
Showing the cameras around their stunning kitchen, Lily explains how ‘we wanted somewhere to feel like the central engine of the house.’
‘When you come in there’s a big table to dump the shopping on, the kids do their homework round there, I cook,’ before poignantly saying ‘everyone abandons me.’
David joins in Lily’s laughter as he brushes off the telling comment and switches the conversation back to the architectural details of their home.
The video has been poured over since news of the couple’s split emerged. One stand out moment comes right at the start of the footage when David opens the door and pretends the camera crew is an old lover.

He jokingly asks: ‘What the hell are you doing here? I have a family now’ while Lily watches on giggling.
Fans claimed the quip had ‘aged like milk’ while another joked that the other woman, who Lily refers to on her album as Madeline, may have been hiding in the cupboard.

Speaking on CBS Mornings, the Brit, 40, touched on how the viral success of the raw album has helped her comprehend her feelings towards the split, which allegedly saw David flout the rules of their open marriage with repeated infidelities.
She said: ‘It’s amazing, I write music for myself to make myself feel better and when something connects with people, it’s affirming , it’s validating – to have people listen to this record and go “Yeah, that’s really messed up, that’s really painful”‘.
West End Girl is her first in seven years and was recorded in just 10 days, in the wake of her devastating split from the Stranger Things actor, 50, in December after Lily discovered his three-year affair and slew of infidelities.
