The Baywatch star, 53, was seen grabbing a smoothie from luxury grocery market Erewhon with his girlfriend, Oksana Rykova, and a friend, after breaking his silence on the horror collision and being cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.

The actor, who sported a black Nike tank top and shorts for the outing, was pictured driving the truck that was allegedly involved in the accident earlier that morning.

Charvet's representative said that he 'is an animal lover and responsible dog owner who would never intentionally harm an animal' in a statement to People.

The spokesperson added that Charvet's thoughts 'are with the family who lost their dog.' 

The entertainer was 'driving through his neighborhood in low-light conditions' at around 5:30 a.m. this morning when he 'encountered a neighbor walking three dogs off leash in the middle of the street,' the statement read. It conflicts the previous statement from the dog owner, who insisted the dogs were on leashes.

The representative claimed that Charvet 'slowed his vehicle and moved to the side to pass safely. As he did so, one of the dogs moved under the vehicle.'

He then 'immediately stopped, called 911, and remained at the scene until authorities arrived. He fully cooperated with the investigation and made himself available for any further help.'

Charvet's neighbor accused him of fatally striking her dog with his truck before taking off. She claimed the dog was on a leash at the time, while the actor provided a conflicting account of the incident; He is seen February 13 

While Errico believes Charvet only called police after driving out of the community, a law enforcement source has since told the site they do not perceive the incident to be a hit-and-run as authorities were contacted by Charvet, regardless of whether or not he remained on the scene.

The Daily Mail has sought comment from Charvet but has not yet heard back.

The Sheriff's Information Bureau has since confirmed to The Daily Mail that deputies responded to an incident about a car accidentally hitting a dog.

'On April 16, 2026, at approximately 0600 hours, deputies from Malibu/Lost Hills Station responded to a traffic-related incident in the City of Malibu involving a vehicle that accidentally struck a dog,' the statement said.

'Upon arrival, deputies conducted their investigation. The dog’s owner transported the animal for medical treatment; however, deputies were later informed that the dog succumbed to its injuries.'

The statement adds that a traffic report is now being prepared.

Charvet played Matt Brody on the beach rescue drama Baywatch from 1992-1996 and is father of two, son Shaya, 18, and daughter Heaven, 19.

The actor walked away from a successful Hollywood career in order to spend more time with his children.

The former singer shares them with ex-wife Brooke Burke and said he decided to make some changes to his lifestyle when his first child was born.

'Before I had my first child I was traveling for five years in 42 countries doing concerts for my music. There's no way I could do that again. I had to find a different meaning to my life,' he previously told Page Six.

'I didn't want to go and take a TV show that was in Canada, I didn't want to travel to Europe to do my music. I wanted to stay home and I wanted to be a good dad. I wanted to be there for my children every single day.'

The Melrose Place actor said he stumbled on his new career accidentally, while building a new house in Malibu in 2006.

The actor turned builder explained he was unhappy with the original contractor's work on the home, so he fired him and took over with help from the project manager.

'We finished the house, and every time that we invited people over … they were like, "My god this house is so beautiful. Do you think you could do it again?'''

Charvet's last on-screen performance was in 2013's Prisoners of the Sun.

The former actor returned to the small screen for as short stint in 2017, teaming up with then wife Brooke for The New Celebrity Apprentice.

However, the couple separated the following year, but the divorce wasn't finalized until 2020.

Transitioning to his new life after two decades in the spotlight was not without regrets.

The former Prisoners of the Sun star said he lost his identity for a while, but has reconciled to the change. 'My job today is I service people. I'm a service person. I'm no longer the star.

Charvet has kept busy with his new life and career.

He is a partner in The Jones Builders Group, a residential contracting company, in Los Angeles that builds between 10 and 14 houses a year.
