‘Every day, I fall more in love with you and this new role. Your dadd, was by my side through the entire pregnancy, making sure we were both taken care of, and I’m so grateful for his love and support.
‘I’m new to this whole baby mama thing, but I promise to always do my best for you. As much as I want to share my joy with the worl, I also need to protect our privacy right now.
‘I’m happy that everyone knows about you, though, because you are such a special part of my life.
‘PS Roxie, every time I look at you, I see so much of your dad in your face – it’s like a little reflection of him in the tiniest, most beautiful way.
‘From the shap of your eyes to the way your little nose crinkles when you smile, you are truly a Grohl through and through.
‘It’s amazing how much of him is already shining in you. Your dad is so proudly that you carry on his family’s spirit, and I can already tell you have that same strength and kindness in you.
‘You’re a perfect blend of us both, but seeing those little reminders of him in you makes my heart melt every time.
‘You are our little legacy, we couldn’t be prouder. Thank you so much for your love and support guys! Rock on!’
It comes after it was reported that Dave had already retained a divorce lawyer prior to his confession of infidelity (the singer is pictured with his wife Jordyn in 2013)
It comes after it was reported that Dave, 55, had already retained a divorce lawyer prior to his confession of infidelity.
In early August, Jordyn, who has been married to the rocker since 2003, may have hinted to some marital strain as she opted not to wear her engagement ring on a seemingly tense outing together in Los Angeles.
Although the pair were seen walking along the sidewalk together, Grohl and Blum couldn’t have looked more disconnected as he smoked a cigarette and she remained glued to her phone.
They kept several feet of distance between them while strolling down the street in their all-black ensembles.
It is unknown if the musician had already informed his spouse that he had cheated on her and impregnated another woman when the images of were taken on August 1.
On Wednesday, a source told People that Grohl had retained a divorce attorney before his social media announcement.
This comes just one one day after confessing that he welcomed a daughter with an undisclosed woman in a statement posted to Instagram.
The statement read: ‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.
‘I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.’
Grohl and Blum, 48, met in 2001 and have been married since 2003, sharing three daughters – Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
Blum previously worked as a model and TV producer.
Before the news broke, the pair’s eldest child appeared to deactivate her Instagram.
The rock star, who has often been described as a ‘family man,’ has spoken about the importance of his family in interviews throughout the years.
In 2007, Grohl told The Guardian, ‘[My wife] Jordyn and [daughter] Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing.’
Speaking to TIME in 2012, he said his family ‘changed everything that I do.’
He added: ‘It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.’
Grohl divorced his first wife Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1997 after admitting to cheating.
While little is publicly known about Blum, People reported she once appeared on the cover of Teen – after being discovered at a supermarket when she was 12.

Blum was reportedly working as a producer at MTV when she met the frontman.
But Grohl told Elle in 2007 that he was not ready for a serious relationship when they first met, and stopped calling Blum after a few dates.
He shared: ‘After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, “Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again.”‘
Blum has collaborated wit the Foo Fighters several times, including in the band’s 2002 video White Limo, where she made an appearance.
She also co-directed the Foo Fighter’s 2002 Walking a Line music video.
News of Grohl’s infidelity comes after he was last seen with Blum at Wimbledon in July.
