A ‘trashy’ dating show dubbed ‘wilder than Geordie Shore’ has been axed after only one series.
The reality show, which Amazon Prime Video bosses had hoped would rival Love Island and Ex On The Beach, premiered earlier this year.
The show has reportedly been cancelled due to host Rylan Clark’s scheduling commitments and there are no plans to revive it later down the line.
The social experiment followed eight Brits as they headed to Zante to run one of the Greek island’s busiest bars and enjoy a summer of fun.
They were tasked with cleaning toilets and mixing cocktails and had to work together and resist temptation to steal the cash prize of £60,000.

Rylan previously described the show as fun and sexy and said he was looking forward to the young cast having some ‘fun in the sun’.
He said: ‘It’s fun, sexy and got a cast who are all up for a laugh, as well as working together to set up the bar, the group all live together.
‘So while this isn’t a dating show, it would be unrealistic to expect these youngsters not to indulge in a little fun in the sun.’
But just a few months after it aired, Hot Mess Summer has been cancelled.
A source told Metro: ‘Unfortunately, with Rylan’s jam-packed schedule and Prime Video’s upcoming slate, there aren’t plans for another series as it currently stands.’
They added that Amazon Prime Video bosses were struggling to make time to commit to another season and were not planning on rebooting it.
No doubt Rylan will also be disappointed – he told Metro after the show had aired that it was the kind of TV he had grown up watching and he loved the show.

He added that Hot Mess Summer would follow the cast in the real world and was more of a risk for production companies.
He said: ‘Now people are a little bit frightened to take risks – not necessarily the channels but maybe production, and contestants. I don’t want to see people wrapped in cotton wool.’
Rylan said he was particularly excited about the show because it was not something he would have done at the start of his career.
He explained that now he was single he could be away for months at a time and do what he wanted without feeling held back.
He added: ‘I’m finally in control of my life. I was Mr Safe, but now I’m Mr Risky.’
