Daryl Somers is reportedly unhappy after failing to receive a mention during Livinia Nixon’s five-minute farewell package on Tuesday night.
The Melbourne weather presenter, 50, delivered her final broadcast at Channel Nine this week after 21 years in the role, with a clip of the TV star’s career highlights marking her exit. Â
Although the video featured a brief clip of Livinia’s Hey Hey It’s Saturday debut in the ’90s, host Daryl, 74, didn’t receive a shoutout, leaving him ‘bruised’, according to news.com.au.
The outlet went on to allege the long-time anchor and onetime executive producer of the iconic show was left disappointed he didn’t receive a shoutout from Livinia, despite helping launch her career.
Sources went on to claim Daryl may now be taking a ‘closer look’ at the footage Nine used of Livinia on Hey Hey It’s Saturday, as his company SEA acquired the copyright for the variety show in 2010.
The series aired on Nine for 28 years from 1971 to 1999, with Livinia scoring a gig on the show alongside Daryl in 1997.

It comes after the 9News Melbourne team bade an emotional farewell to Livinia this week after she delivered her final broadcast as weather presenter.
The occasion was marked by a five-minute package that highlighted Livinia’s two decades of bringing Melburnians the weather.
‘The secret to Livo’s success has been her ability to just be herself,’ Tony Jones said over a montage of some of Livinia’s memorable on-air moments.
‘The Livinia Nixon you see in your lounge room each night is the same Livinia we see in the newsroom each day.’
The package concluded with a heartfelt: ‘Best to check that pollen count one more time, Livo, because there’s watery eyes across Melbourne tonight.’
Throwing back to the newsroom, Livinia was surrounded by the entire 9News Melbourne team and family members, who gathered to bid her a fond farewell.
‘You really are the ray of sunshine in our team,’ Tom Steinfort said. ‘We have people come up to us all the time and say: “Livinia seems nice on air but what’s she like in real life?” and I say: ‘Even more wonderful.’

While the video included a few seconds of Livinia’s debut on Hey Hey It’s Saturday in the ’90s, host Daryl didn’t receive a shoutout, which allegedly left him ‘bruised’, news.com.au claimed on Friday
‘You are such a beautiful person. I will miss you, and I hope you know how many people at home are going to miss welcoming you into their living rooms.’
An appreciative Livinia then reciprocated the love, admitting the decision to leave was not easy.
‘This is a very difficult decision to make because I do love this job,’ she said.
‘But I feel it’s the right decision at the right time for my family. I want to see my boys chase their dreams.’
Livinia went on to thank husband Alistair and Channel Nine for their ‘unwavering support’ after she announced her exit.
Although Livinia is stepping away from the 9News team, she is not leaving the network entirely and will still appear on Getaway and Postcards.
