Danny Jones made a telling comment about if he and his wife Georgia would ever have more kids – just days before his kiss with Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty.

Love Island star Maura, 34, was seen sharing a ‘drunken kiss’ with Danny, 38 – who has been married to his wife Georgia for over a decade – as they attended Universal Music’s BRIT Awards afterparty on Saturday night.

After the two I’m A Celeb stars were pictured pecking at the bash hosted at 180 The Strand, MailOnline revealed that the two spent the evening together in a cosy booth.

Footage shared with The Sun showed the pair getting cosy at the venue where they had also shared a table earlier in the night with their I’m A Celeb co-star Oti Mabuse.

And just days before the incident he spoke with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on their Parenting Hell podcast about if he and Georgia would ever expand their family. They already share son Cooper, seven. 

He said: ‘I think we’re done with one, I think we are. We found it harder than we thought, we were like ”let’s move to the country and have two, three” and now we’re still very much in London with one kid.

‘You know what it’s like, it’s trying to balance everything, I’m not very good at that. When I have one big thing to concentrate on, everything else is out the window. I’ve got a tour coming up and that’s all I can think about, or I’ve got a show coming up. 

‘It’s a strange thing, you get satisfaction – just like my wife does if she goes out and works – and part of living is your career, but I find it really hard. 

‘At first I was like ”I need to go out and provide and make sure the house is sorted” whereas really, I just needed to chill out and be at home and be a dad. That’s the biggest thing I’ve learnt, coming out the Jungle, time is everything.’ 

Elsewhere in the chat he gushed about how amazing Georgia was ‘She’s amazing in every way to be honest! 

‘As much as she’s amazing in that sense, it annoys me that she’s so good because I feel pathetic on the outside.’

At the BRITs ceremony Maura was sat at the same table with Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, with only one table in between her and ex, TOWIE’s Pete Wicks – but the pair didn’t go near one another.

Representatives for Maura and Danny have been contacted by MailOnline for comment. 

Danny’s wife Georgia made no mention of her husband in the latest episode of her podcast on Monday, released just hours after his kiss with Maura.

Georgia stayed silent on the controversy during her podcast Mum’s The Word with Kelsey Parker, which covered the importance of being present and living in the moment, opening up about spending time with their children.

However, Georgia kept her comments strictly on their six-year-old son Cooper, giving her husband no mention at all – despite the fact it was more than likely pre-recorded. 

She chatted about parenting, made reference to their recent house move and even detailed their flight to Australia, which had been to see Danny while he was in the I’m A Celebrity jungle – but omitted any acknowledgment of the singer. 

Georgia, 38, held the fort at home while the McFly star jetted out to Australia in November to compete in I’m A Celebrity at the end of last year – where he was crowned King of the Jungle.

Last month Georgia revealed she had headed on a solo rural cabin retreat without the singer to recover from burnout.

In a candid post, Georgia has revealed that the pressures of solo parenting and moving house on her own during that time resulted in her feeling burnt out.

‘Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT!’ she wrote.

So heading into the New Year, Georgia revealed she needed to ‘do something for me’ and booked a wholesome woodland retreat with cabin company Unyoked. 

Georgia took herself to snowy Shropshire where she stayed in a cabin and chopped wood, built a fire, enjoyed some reading time and soaked up nature.
