A former EastEnders actor has vented his frustration at a bar in Cheltenham after he was allegedly denied entry following a confrontation with a bouncer.
Taking to social media to voice his complaint, Danny Hatchard – who played Lee Carter from 2014 to 2017 – asked Whistle Taps pub in Cheltenham why he was no longer allowed in.
He added that he had been a regular at the bar along with his fellow Full Monty costars including Jake Quickenden and Bill Ward after their performances on tour at Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre, which ended last weekend.
The actor posted to his Instagram story: ‘@whittletaps can you please tell me why, after socialising in your establishment after every show @everymanchelt with the cast, I am now not allowed in?
‘This employee has just attempted to embarrass me in front of the cast and a tonne of people who’ve just come to watch the show.’

Danny is filling the role of Gaz – originally played by Robert Carlyle in the 1997 film – as he tours for the next seven months.
The show began in Cheltenham on September 14, with that first leg ending on September 23, and the stars appearing to be hoping for a celebration to finish.
However, the evening, at least for Danny, was seemingly cut short due the altercation at the venue.
He explained: ‘Apparently, due to a confrontation with a very rude doorman at The Copa (across the road) last week where several of my cast and creatives were present and witnessed the whole thing… Apparently, (according to this guy) you’re the same venue…
‘If this is true can you please supply body cam footage of said confrontation just so we can all see how aggressive your door team are at The Copa…’
Danny wrote on Instagram: ‘This employee has just attempted to embarrass me in front of the cast and a tonne of people who’ve just come to watch the show’
Both Whittle Taps and The Copa of Cheltenham are pubs just down the road from the theatre at which Danny had been performing.
Greene King – who run The Copa – have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
As well as taking to the stage, since leaving EastEnders Danny has had roles in BBC dramas Our Girl (2020) and Ridley Road (2021).
The Full Monty production has moved on to Buxton since its performer’s dramatic interaction, and is going on up and down the country until next April.
