Danny Cipriani will show off his toned arms and muscular physique in a tight sleeveless Santa waistcoat as he performs in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special on Monday.

In a first look at the rugby union player, 36, on the show, he can be showing off his tattoos as he takes to the dancefloor with his professional partner Jowita Przystal, 29.

The sportsman can be seen flashing a broad smile as he dons a pair of bright red trousers with a white stripe down the side to match the top half of his outfit.

Jowita looks just as festive in a Mrs Claus mini dress in the same red colour, with the garment having a white faux fur trim on the sleeves and hem.

Danny will dance the cha-cha-cha with Jowita to the 1980 hit Celebration by Kool & The Gang.

While it remains to be seen what they think of his footwork, the show’s judges were impressed with the ex-England fly-half’s physique.

Motsi Mabuse, 42, says: ‘Well, well, well. If I knew Santa looked like that I would stay up all night.

‘No, I mean really, you have a vibe.’

While head judge Shirley Ballas, 63, said: ‘Well Mr Claus, I wasn’t expecting that. I mean, I saw it all.’

While, according to The Sun, show host Tess Daly, 54, joked: ‘I think you have given the judges the perfect gift for Christmas.’

Danny was branded a ‘superhuman’ by his ‘proud’ dance partner Jowita as the pair appeared on This Morning on Wednesday.

On the ITV programme, Danny admitted that at first he was ‘intimidated’ by the prospect of taking part in the BBC ballroom dance contest’s festive episode.

Jowita went onto praise him for ‘doing everything 100%’ and being ‘so committed’ to the challenge of the show.

She said: ‘He’s a super human he does everything for 100%. He committed even though it’s completely different than rugby.

‘We had such a good time together, as you can see we were grooving and jamming

‘He has his own way of doing things and he always wants to put Danny into everything

‘I’m happy because you put your personality in. I couldn’t be more proud. We had four days of rehearsal, it’s quite intense.’

Reflecting on the moment he agreed to sign up for Strictly’s Christmas Show, Danny told hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle: ‘I was driving, my friend phoned and said you’ve got to do it, you love dancing, normally it’s a bit intimidating but when she said it I thought let’s do it.’

‘I had the best time, I’ve always loved dancing.’

The sportsman joins historian Dan Snow, EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick, Sugababes’ Keisha Buchanan, BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent and actress Tillie Amartey on the fun-filled festive show.

It comes after Danny’s estranged wife Victoria was left ‘devastated’ after seeing cosy pictures of the Strictly pair.

Sources claimed the pair could be a ‘sizzling pairing,’ spending many hours together during their two weeks of rehearsals.

An insider said: ‘BBC bosses must have had some idea it would be a sizzling pairing on the dancefloor, but on a personal level probably didn’t expect them to get so close, so soon.’

‘They join a long line of stars and pros who’ve found themselves growing closer as a result of long, intimate sessions in the rehearsal studio.’

A source told The Sun: ‘Victoria was gutted to see the pictures of Danny and Jowita. It’s only been nine days since Danny announced on Instagram they had split – which Victoria had no idea about.

‘That was distressing enough for her. But to see her husband so close to another woman is absolutely heartbreaking for her.’

MailOnline exclusively revealed last month that Danny and Victoria called time on their relationship following a series of ‘difficult’ rows over text messages on his phone, with him being paired up with Jowita nine days later.

At the time, Danny released a statement to announce the news, telling his Instagram followers that he ‘only wished the best’ for his ex.

Since then, Victoria has announced that shockingly, she was ‘made aware of the situation at the same time as the public’ in a now deleted post.

The media personality opened up about the difficult time and apologised for her ’emotionally charge response.’

She wrote: ‘Danny publicly announced our split without any prior notice or discussion with me. I was made aware of the situation at the same time as the public, and this has caused me a great deal of pain.

‘I apologise if my reactions and responses have seemed reactive or emotionally charged.

‘The truth is, I am still going through a difficult time, and it is challenging for me to see Danny speaking about our separation publicly while I have not yet found the strength to process it, adjust or heal.

Victoria concluded: ‘I really don’t want to be caught up in the fanfare. Sorry for any hurt I have caused.’

The couple, who tied the knot in April 2021, are set to call in divorce lawyers after their split.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special will air on Christmas Day at 4.40pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
