Danny Cipriani is to star in Holly Willoughby’s new Netflix reality show, MailOnline can reveal.
The former England rugby star will jet out to Costa Rica in the coming weeks where he will take part in Bear Hunt – a jungle based programme in which he will be pitted against survival expert Bear Grylls.
Cipriani, who has a reputation for being somewhat of a badboy, is understood to have negotiated a six-figure sum to appear on the show which will be Holly’s first show away from terrestrial television.
It comes just months after he split from his wife Victoria Rose O’Callaghan at the end of last year.
A show source told MailOnline: ‘Danny will be great, it is exactly the right show for him. He’s fit and athletic and will give it all he has got, plus he is a bit of a hunk.

‘There will be a range of celebrities taking part but he is likely to be amongst the biggest names, and one of the favourites to win.
‘It is a brand new show so is expected to be hugely watched, it’s a coup for him.’
The celebrities are expected to jet out to the South American jungle shortly where they will join Holly, 43, who will host the show. Former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson is also rumoured to be taking part.
It isn’t expected to air until either much later this year or early 2025.
Former Harlequins fly-half Cipriani, 36, split from wife Victoria Rose O’Callaghan, 42, last November after two-and-a-half years of marriage.
He is now dating American actress Annalynne McCord, 36, who appeared in US teen drama, 90210 and the pair went ‘Instagram official’ over the weekend.
Cipriani had been in talks to appear on ITV’s jungle series, I’m A Celeb, some weeks before but they are understood to have broken down.
Bear Hunt has been described by television insiders a more challenging version of the BBC’s Survivor. Celebrity contestants will be pitted against Grylls.

A show insider told MailOnline: ‘It’s a great and such an exciting fresh series and of course a great challenge for Holly.
‘It’s a great opportunity for her.’
The show, which is produced by Grylls’ company, will see him pursue celebrity contestants and when he catches them, they will be eliminated.
Netflix bosses are said to be ‘ecstatic’ that they have been able to hire Holly, who sensationally quit This Morning last October after 14 years at its helm.
One said: ‘Holly was their woman for this project from the word go.

‘They are absolutely delighted to have got her to sign on the line, hopefully there will be many more opportunities to work with her down the line too.’
She will be familiar with the jungle surroundings. In 2018 she hosted I’m A Celeb alongside Declan Donnelly – the highest rated series ever.
Standing in for Ant McPartlin who was in rehab for alcohol and painkiller addictions, she was hailed a huge success.
She also hosted Freeze the Fear with Dutch extreme athlete Wim Hof in 2022 which was screened on BBC One.
