Gogglebox star Daniel Lustig Webb has given fans a health update on his husband Stephen following his nasty injury on Dancing On Ice – which led him to quit the show.
Stephen, 52, had suffered a freak accident in training before being told by medics he had broken his left ankle and would be on crutches for the next three months – MailOnline exclusively revealed in October.
But his hairdresser husband, 43, finally delighted fans with some positive news, The Sun revealed.
‘Stephen’s doing good, he’s got his cast off now and he’s actually got a boot on for the next six weeks and then he’ll get back to it, he’s really excited,’ he said.
Daniel added he had to become ‘his nurse maid’ and Stephen ‘loves it’.

The hairdresser explained all the home duties were suddenly on his shoulders, including taking their dog out for walks, look after his husband while juggling the work in the salons.
He said: ‘He broke his ankle in two places, he’s gutted about Dancing On Ice, he was so excited.
‘He’s got some other stuff happening next year that he’s really excited about and hopefully we’ve got some stuff together and stuff separately – could possibly be more reality work,’ Daniel teased.
But despite Stephen’s injury, it seems the reality star could be still considering a return to Dancing On Ice, as Daniel revealed the accident has not ‘scared’ him off.
Sharing an update to Instagram earlier in October, Stephen revealed he had to undergo surgery and was ‘gutted’ to be out of the competition.
Smiling for a photo alongside his pet dogs, the TV personality could be seen with his foot in plaster and propped up on a cushion.
He captioned the post: ‘Thank you for all of your kind words and messages. On Wednesday last week during my training session for Dancing on Ice I fell and broke my left ankle.
‘I’ve had surgery and will be on crutches for a few months meaning, I’ve had to leave the competition which I’m absolutely gutted about.

Sources close to Stephen said he had been ‘thoroughly enjoying the new challenge’ and getting to know judges Torvill and Dean as well as the other celebrity contestants and is ‘gutted’ to be losing his place in the competition before the show has even started
‘I was having so much fun and enjoying learning to skate. I will of course be keeping a close eye on all of the other celebs and pros and supporting them all the way.
‘Unfortunately, I will also have to pull out of the London Marathon. I’m doing my best to keep my spirits up and will hopefully be back on my feet again very soon.’
Stephen was rushed to the Queen Alexandra hospital in Portsmouth where medics told him he had broken his left ankle.
The TV personality underwent an operation to put metal plates into his ankle for additional support, but there was no hope of him getting back on the ice for this series.

‘He is still very much a part of the Dancing On Ice family, we will be helping to support Stephen and we wish him well with his recovery.’
He has been replaced by Olympic ski jumper Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards.

Eddie said: ‘It’s bittersweet as whilst I’m delighted to be taking part in the new series I’m gutted for Stephen and wish him a speedy recovery.
