Daniel Craig said ‘social media is killing kids’ as he shared his thoughts on his pet peeves in his latest magazine cover.
Posing in a floral shirt for W Magazine’s Best Performers Issue 2025, the actor, 56, discussed his latest film Queer, which is set in the 1950s.
In the accompanying photoshoot, Daniel wore a brightly coloured shirt, which he left partially unbuttoned, with a pair of pinstriped trousers.
He then changed into a black suit, that was teamed with trainers, while laying on a hotel room bed.
Reflecting on his pet peeves in the interview, Daniel admitted: ‘Social media—what it’s doing to our kids. It’s smoking, as far as I’m concerned. It’s killing them.’
Elsewhere, he revealed that despite his own fame, he still gets starstruck when meeting other celebrities.

‘Anybody who’s slightly famous, I get starstruck and lose the ability to speak, or go verbless,’ he admitted.
‘Meeting Steven Spielberg for the first time was quite something. I told him a really, really, really dirty joke. He had already cast me in Munich, so it was fine.’
The highly anticipated Best Performances portfolio is an annual feature curated by W’s editor-at-large Lynn Hirschberg and highlights stars at the forefront of cinema.
Celebrating 34 actors who were thrilling, mesmerizing, and, ultimately, unforgettable, this year’s Best Performance issue features Adrien Brody, Angelina Jolie, Ariana Grande, Colman Domingo, Cynthia Erivo and Demi Moore.
Also featured are Kingsley Ben-Adir, Mia Goth, Nicole Kidman, Paul Mescal, Saoirse Ronan, Selena Gomez, Tilda Swinton, Zendaya, and Zoe Saldaña across sixteen unique covers.
Daniel recently admitted he still envies other actors when they get jobs he wanted during an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter Podcast.
He said: ‘I get jealous all the time, of every f***ing actor who gets a job I’d like, but I admit to it.
‘Someone gave me great advice earlier on – don’t get bitter, it’ll eat you up.’
Daniel’s most recent role is in the film Queer which follows American expat and war veteran William Lee (played by Craig), who has a romance with a younger man, Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey).
The actor recently revealed that he felt ’empty’ and emotionally ‘exhausted’ after shooting each of his James Bond movies.

Daniel starred in five Bond films between 2006 and 2021, and Daniel has now admits that the money-spinning movies took a physical and emotional toll on him.
‘Early on with Bond I thought I had to do other work, but I didn’t. I was becoming a star, whatever that means, and people wanted me in their films. Incredible,’ he added.
‘Most actors are out of work for large chunks so you take your job offers – but they left me empty. Then, bottom line, I got paid.
‘I was so exhausted at the end of a Bond it would take me six months to recover emotionally. I always had the attitude that life must come first and, when work came first for a while, it strung me out.’
Daniel remains very fond of the Bond franchise, and he’s curious to see where producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson decide to take it next.
