Laura Henshaw’s husband Dalton has revealed why he decided to take her last name after tying the knot in 2021.
During an Instagram Q&A, one fan asked the Keep it Cleaner co-founder why her husband took her surname.
‘Why did Dalton change his last name?’
She then shared a video of Dalton explaining he had always been open to changing his name.
‘The core reason why is that it was always a conversation for me and it always has been,’ he said.

‘Nothing has ever been assumed as I was growing up, regardless of growing up in what would be a traditional woman taking the man’s surname environment or family.’
He continued: ‘In this case it was always a conversation and that lead to me taking Laura’s name.’
Dalton confirmed that he had indeed taken his wife’s surname after their wedding in 2021.
Explaining his decision to take Lauren’s last name, Dalton wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘You can still call me Dalton, Dalt, Dolphin, whatever you like… I’m still the same me and always will be.

‘I’m just going to sign off one chapter and start another with my beautiful, driven and inspirational wife by my side as Mr Henshaw.’
While Dalton’s decision to break with tradition seems to be his way of expressing love and respect for his wife, he also hinted he didn’t like his surname Graham.
‘P.S. mildly excited to break the shackles of two first names #TheHenshaws,’ he said.
