Dakota Johnson’s Wardrobe Malfunction on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Dakota Johnson suffered a wardrobe malfunction on Wednesday while promoting Daddio on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC.

The 34-year-old actress while wearing a black dress with thin straps clutched her left shoulder area after Jimmy, 56, played a clip from Daddio showing Dakota opposite co-star Sean Penn, 63.

‘A part of your dress just came unhooked,’ Jimmy said chuckling. ‘Are you all right? Should I get some Scotch tape?’

‘My dress just …it just fell off,’ Dakota said while holding her broken dress strap.

‘It seems to be hanging in all right,’ Jimmy said.

The strap, however, was clearly broken as Dakota tried to fix it.

‘I’ll just hold it,’ Dakota said.

‘Okay, all right, just hold it, it won’t be very long,’ Jimmy said. ‘By the way way, you guys did a great job in this movie.’

‘Thanks,’ Dakota said while holding up her dress.

Jimmy told the audience how the film is about two people in a cab ride having a conversation.

‘Yeah,’ Dakota said grinning while holding up her dress.

Jimmy joked for her to ‘hold the important part in’ and Dakota then grabbed her chest with both hands.

‘The movie is really good,’ Dakota said to laughter from the studio audience.

Dakota earlier told her neighbor Jimmy that construction was going on at her house after a ‘huge eucalyptus tree’ fell during recent ‘crazy storms’.

The Fifty Shades franchise star also played a game in which she had to determine which one of three people was high.

‘I’m well versed in that,’ Dakota said.

‘I’m a skilled detective,’ she added.

She asked Christina, Carrie and Manuel questions to determine if they were high.

‘I feel like Carrie might enjoy the weed,’ Dakota said.

Manuel fooled her though and admitted that he was the high one.

Daddio is scheduled to be released on June 28 in the US by Sony Pictures Classics and Dakota also is a co-producer. 

Dakota also stars in the comedy-drama film Am I OK? that was directed by Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne.

The film was co-produced by Dakota, Tig, Stephanie, Will Ferrell and others and premiered in January 2022 at the Sundance Film Festival.

Am I Ok? premiered on June 6 on Max.

Dakota recently wrapped filming her upcoming romantic-comedy film Materialists that also stars Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal.

The actress has been in a relationship with Coldplay singer Chris Martin, 47, since 2017.
