Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney looked haunting as they posed in several posters for the upcoming superhero film Madame Web.
Johnson, 34, was seen in character as Cassandra Webb in the promotional images for the feature, which will be set outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actress, who recently opened up about her sleeping habits, was also joined by several of her castmates from the movie, namely Sydney Sweeney who plays Julia Carpenter, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced and Tahar Rahim.
Development on Madame Web was revealed to the public in 2019, when screenwriters Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, best known for their work on Morbius, were hired to write the feature’s script.
Although the movie is centered on Marvel Comics characters, Madame Web will serve as the fourth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, which kicked off with the 2018 release of Venom.

Johnson was revealed to have been in talks to join the feature as its lead in 2022.
Performers such as Charlize Theron and Amy Adams had been considered for the role during the movie’s casting process.
Supporting cast members, including Sweeney and Merced, were added to the project’s lineup over the course of 2022.
Performers such as Adam Scott, Emma Roberts and Zosia Mamet have also joined the cast of the upcoming movie.
Madame Web is centered on Webb, a paramedic who develops clairvoyance following a near-death experience and is subsequently tasked with protecting three young superheroines from a dangerous adversary.
The project’s crew kicked off production in July of 2022, and filming took place in various locations around Massachusetts and New York City.
Physical production continued for several months before the feature’s team wrapped in January of 2023.
An official trailer for Madame Web was released this past Thursday, and Johnson subsequently spoke to Entertainment Tonight to reveal that ‘things take quite a turn’ for her character following the development of her powers.

The performer went on to express that Webb ‘thinks she’s losing her mind’ in the immediate aftermath of the incident where she receives her abilities.
Merced also spoke to the media outlet and stated that the character’s clairvoyance changed the course of her contemporaries’ lives.
The performer stated that the change in Webb’s life would be ‘really interesting’ and that ‘it plays on fate, or destiny.’
Madame Web is currently scheduled to be released to the public on Valentine’s Day.
