Cruz Beckham appeared to be getting valuable tips from two music industry veterans on Wednesday evening.
David and Victoria Beckham’s youngest son paid a visit to London’s O2 Arena, where indie band The Kooks were entertaining thousands of fans with what has been described by some as ‘the biggest and best show of their 20 year career.’
Accompanied by girlfriend Jackie Apostel, the young musician, 20, took in the show before meeting the three-piece band backstage.
Sharing a handful of shots with Instagram followers, Cruz is seen rubbing shoulders with lead singer Luke Pritchard and guitarist Hugh Harris.
The musician appeared to be in his element while downing champagne with Pritchard, who wore a T-shirt bearing the cryptic numbers 24.10.25 – thought to be the release date of Cruz’s debut album.
Cruz also had an unexpected run in with his mother, albeit in the form of a Spice Girls cut-out featuring Victoria during her girl-group glory days.

Cruz made a surprise appearance at The George Tavern, Shadwell, which has played host to the likes of Amy Winehouse.
He took to a small wooden stage, alongside a band, to perform a handful of his own new songs: Optics, Caroline, For Your Love, and Lick The Toad.
Cruz told the crowd: ‘This is really special for me. I just want to thank everyone for being here tonight.’
One industry source, who was at the Tuesday night gig, said: ‘Cruz was a little nervous, but once he got going, the crowd went wild for him.
‘He’s clearly spent the summer listening to Oasis. He’s got a decent voice, can play the guitar, and his songs are certainly catchy.’
Likening his music to 2000s bands such as The Kooks and the Kaiser Chiefs, they added: ‘I would describe his style as catchy indie landfill.’
The 17th-century pub has become an iconic music venue in recent decades. It was saved from housing developers in 2013 after a campaign supported by supermodel Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger, daughter of Rolling Stones legend Mick.

While none of his celebrity relatives caught Cruz’s debut performance, insiders have insisted that the young singer wants to work his way up through the industry without relying on his family connections.
But his girlfriend Jackie was spotted in the crowd and told her social media followers that she cried when her boyfriend began performing.
‘Safe to say I did not keep it together,’ she said.
Taking to Instagram after his show, the model wrote: ‘Unannounced, just working on his craft, doing his little thing, having fun, learning, preparing, all HIS songs made by HIM played by HIM sang by HIM, absolutely smashing it, I love you.’
Beckham played a red electric guitar that matched his T-shirt, which was emblazoned with the slogan ‘Didn’t they do well’ – best known as the late Bruce Forsyth’s catchphrase on 1970s show The Generation Game.
He paired the top with relaxed blue jeans. Beckham’s forthcoming album is expected to be released later this month, after he shared a snap on social media, teasing the date ‘24.10.25’.
