Cruz Beckham has pushed back against claims he’s copied The Beatles and Oasis as he steps into the music industry.
The aspiring artist, 20, recently made his debut with two singles, Optics and Lick The Toad, and has been performing a series of small live shows.
On Sunday, Cruz responded to several comments on social media suggesting his tracks sound too similar to the legendary bands.
Posting a screenshot of the remarks to his Instagram Stories, he wrote: ‘Yeah u mean like… writing a song.
‘Some people hurt my brain. Jealously ignites delusion. Bl**dy hell.’
It comes just the day after Cruz showed off a gruesome injury on Saturday as he took to his Instagram Stories to share a snap of his bandaged pinky finger.

Last week, Cruz packed on the PDA with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel and received a proud hug from his dad David, after performing an intimate gig on Wednesday.
The star continued his bid for stardom by taking to the stage with his band The Breakers, to put on a show for his family and friends, leaving his parents reduced to ‘tears of pride’.
And taking to his Instagram the following day, the youngest Beckham son reflected on the fun-filled evening as he shared a slew of snaps celebrating with his loved ones, captioned: ‘Amazing night’.
Among the shots of him posing with his friends and bandmates was a loved-up photo of Cruz pulling a beaming Jackie, 30, for a cuddle.
She also took to her own Instagram to post an even more intimate snap that showed the pair passionately kissing while wearing matching fur coats, with the caption: ‘for your love’.
The couple first started dating in June 2024 and confirmed their romance in October when they went Instagram official.
Cruz also posted two sweet snaps of his father David, 50, wrapping an arm around him and beaming with pride.

The former footballer took to his own grid to share a clip of Cruz’s performance, admitting he had ‘tears of joy and pride’.
He penned: ‘Family & friends night with Cruz we r so proud of you mate we love you and the journey that you are on… Tonight was full of love & a few tears of joy and pride #CruzBeckham&The Breakers @victoriabeckham love you Cruzie @cruzbeckham.’

Alongside the video, she gushed: ‘Wow!!! You look so happy Cruz and we couldn’t be prouder we love you @cruzbeckham xxxxxxxxxx.’
Cruz’s grandmother – David’s mother Sandra, 76 – also publicly expressed her pride for her grandson, while family friend and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay commented: ‘Congrats @cruzbeckham so proud of you ❤️’.
Another close friend of the family David Gardner was also in attendance, telling his followers how Cruz’s performance was ‘sooooooooo good’.
Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull showed her support, commenting on his Instagram post: ‘Go Cruz !’
During the set, Cruz performed his latest song Optics, a very explicit single about drugs and sex.
During the track, he sings: ‘Take a thousand selfies in your bed while I trip in mine / I love me some mushrooms and good head and an erotic 69’.
The chorus repeats: ‘Stay high fashion, no comedown, no crashing but you wanna know how it looks, I wanna know how it feels’.
His second single release Lick The Toad favours less racy lyrics, instead, basing his song on ‘mother nature’.
And Jackie gave a huge hint that he will be following up the performance by releasing a debut album soon, writing: ‘Might it finally be time to drop what we’ve all been waiting for? @cruzbeckham.’
At the start of the year, it was reported Cruz had signed with top music management company C3, who worked with the US indie group The Strokes.
