Benidorm star Crissy Rock has announced her split from third husband Julian Buck, whom she met on the set of the ITV comedy, after six years of marriage, just months after confessing she was ‘close to living in a cardboard box’.
The comedian, 66, who played hotel manageress Janey York in the series, took to Instagram on Monday with a statment to confirm the couple had parted ways in June 2024 before ‘officially separating’ earlier this year.
She penned: ‘To my family, friends and followers, I want to take a moment to clarify that I am no longer with my husband, Julian. We have been estranged since June 2024 and officially separated in January of this year’.
‘I have had no contact with him since then. Please disregard any posts or information shared from the page “Julian Buck” – this page is not affiliated with me and does not represent me in any way’.
She finished by adding: ‘Thank you for your understanding and respecting my privacy during this time’.
Crissy previously revealed how she met Julian, who is ten years her junior, at the Riviera Hotel in Benidorm while on a night out with the Benidorm cast.

She told The Mirror in 2023: ‘We were all sitting outside. There were loads of people there and before we knew it was just me and him sitting there.
‘He was talking to me and he said, “Do you mind if I keep in touch as a friend?” Never ever, ever in a million years… I’ve never looked at him that day and thought I was going to marry him. It just happened, we are like mates. Sometimes I think, “Does he really love me?”‘
‘He’s ten years younger, I don’t even know what he sees in me, before adding that ‘he’s lovely really.’
The couple wed in a movie themed ceremony at a Stockport cinema back in 2018 with guests including Shameless star Tina Malone as well as Brookside and The Royale Family legend Ricky Tomlinson.
Earlier this year Crissy confessed she now lived like a ‘nomad’ and could find herself in a ‘cardboard box’ seven years after Benidorm ended.
As well as starring in the ITV comedy, Crissy won numerous awards for her role in 1994 movie Ladybird, Ladybird before going on to appear on I’m A Celeb and Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Celebrity Masterchef.
She told The Express: ‘Me, I’m like a nomad. I live from place to place to place. My wardrobe is just the boot of my car. If it wasn’t for my friend, I would be living in a hostel or a cardboard box’.
‘When I’m in Liverpool, I go and see her and I have family and that so I just sort of move around from couch to couch.’

Crissy appeared as Solana Hotel boss Janey for the show’s first four seasons, before retuning sporadically until her final exit during season seven. The comedy continued for another three years before being axed in May 2018.
Asked if she would be keen to see the comedy make a return, Crissy said: ‘I’ve heard that the show could come back and I think that it would be brilliant if they did bring it back. But I can’t say much, but I would love it to happen’.
Just two months after its cancellation was confirmed, the show won Best Comedy at TV Choice Awards – with its creator Derren Litten calling out the decision in his acceptance speech at the time.
Now its been reported it could be making a comeback, with The Sun claiming earlier this year that TV bosses are in talks to reboot the show.
A TV insider told the publication: ‘Benidorm was adored by millions when it was suddenly cancelled. Fans will be thrilled to hear ITV wants to bring it back.
‘An 11th series hasn’t been commissioned yet, but there’s major excitement building as early talks begin.
‘Producers have started to reach out to the show’s stars and are hopeful a decision can be made later this year.’
