Georgia May Foote has broken her silence on her reported divorce from husband Kris Evans as she said this year has been ‘the worst of her life’ in an emotional post.
The actress, 34, best known for playing Katy Armstrong in Coronation Street, took to Instagram on Monday where she somberly reflected on the year.
It was previously reported that Kris had left their marital home, with Georgia also removing her wedding ring and wiping all traces of the musician from her social media.
Now, Georgia has penned to her 530,000 followers: ‘Nope. Worst year I’ve ever had in my life. I couldn’t catch a break thank god for my friends and family.
‘This has been one of the worst years I’ve ever experienced. And I know this because literally I couldn’t find a single happy period to even post about. So here are some little things that made me happy in the middle of it all. (Not the fire obvs).
She continued: ‘I don’t even want to get into why it was so awful. But when the fire happened I really didn’t think it could get any worse. Then the stress of this year just sent my vitiligo wild. I really lost all my confidence.

‘But if I have learnt one thing from all of this. I’m a fighter. I am so strong. So resilient. I give 12059% into everything I do. The fact I still stand here now, smiling and getting through every day says so much to myself about who I am. No matter what people try and make you think.
‘It’s ok to cry. It’s ok to feel let down. It’s ok to feel hurt. But sometimes, you have to tell yourself, one day I WILL have the life I deserve because I am kind. That will be enough.
‘Please be kind to others. Please stay strong if you are struggling. Life is hard. But we only get the one. So love deeply. Be loved. And just try and find a little happiness in everyday. Whatever that may be to you.’
Georgia was flooded with support from her fans, with one writing: ‘Loads of love for you G. Keep smiling and being you. New Year New Chapter’;
‘You are kind and caring. ❤️ Sending you love and lots of happiness in 2026’;

In August musician Kris fled the UK to check into a songwriting retreat in Spain, leaving his estranged wife at their Manchester marital home.
He took to social media at the time to write a heart-rending note which read: ‘In a time of destruction, write something.’
Georgia and Kris have kept details of their romance under wraps since meeting in 2018, but the pair got engaged three years later and tied the knot in July 2023.
Georgia, who starred in Corrie for five years from 2010, previously admitted that acting work has dried up over the last few years.
After her character was brutally killed off in a car crash, the model went onto appear in reality TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Juice, while she had a regular role on American fantasy series The Outpost in the early 2020s.
Georgia’s fans and followers flooded her with love and support following her emotional post
But speaking to Sausage On A Fork podcast, she confessed she’s had a ‘nightmare’ trying to book jobs and said the last few years have been ‘the quietest time’ of her life.
Georgia said: ‘I came back in the December of 2020 and I just realised, “Oh my God, there’s no work.”
‘Everything that got stopped filming in the UK then got put on a back burner, and then there was a backlog of what was about to start filming. Then everything behind that took four years to come out, then we had the writers’ strikes.’
Georgia continued: ‘It’s just been a nightmare. And that’s why this has been the quietest I’ve ever been in my life. I think a lot of actors around the world will say the exact time.’
