Born on July 13, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan, Ken didnโt initially set out for a career in comedy โ he earned his M.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995.
While working as a physician in Los Angeles, he moonlighted as a stand-up comedian, performing at clubs like The Laugh Factory and The Improv.
His big break came in 2007 when he landed the role of Dr. Kuni in Knocked Up, where his real-life medical expertise added authenticity to his hilariously over-the-top character.
Two years later, he skyrocketed to fame as the eccentric and unhinged gangster Leslie Chow in The Hangover (2009), a role he reprised in the filmโs sequels in 2011 and 2013.
From 2009 to 2015, he played the wildly unpredictable Seรฑor Chang on NBCโs Community, solidifying himself as a scene-stealing comedic force on television.
In 2015, he created and starred in Dr. Ken, a sitcom loosely based on his real-life experience as a doctor, which ran for two seasons on ABC.
Jeongโs career took another unexpected turn in 2019 when he became a panelist on Foxโs The Masked Singer, bringing his signature blend of humor and enthusiasm to the hit reality competition.
