Colin Farrell and his costar Kirby Howell-Baptiste put on a unified front on Tuesday as they led a publicity event for their new series Sugar in Los Angeles.

The 47-year-old Academy Award nominee stars in the Apple TV+ series as the American private detective John Sugar, who prowls Hollywood in search of a missing woman.

He looked chummy as he put an arm on Kirby’s shoulder, and they both rocked matching all-black ensembles.

Their new series is described as ‘a genre-bending contemporary take on the private detective story set in Los Angeles.’

Colin’s character is on the hunt for the missing daughter of a high-profile film producer, but their family secrets threaten to stymie his investigation.

The eight-episode mystery serious will debut its first two episodes on Apple TV+ on April 5, with the subsequent episode airing weekly.

Colin is also set to star in another series, Max’s The Penguin, a spin-off from the Robert Pattinson–starring The Batman focused on his eponymous villain.

Back in 2022, he told Entertainment Tonight that he would love to return to star in the sequel to the hit superhero film, though it is unconfirmed if he will also be part of that project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the big-budget sequel has been delayed by a year, with its new release date set for October 2, 2026.
