Claudia Schiffer Stuns in Swimsuit for 55th Birthday, Proving She Hasn’t Aged Since the ’90s

Claudia Schiffer cemented her supermodel status on Monday, as she shared a slew of age-defying swimwear snaps to mark her 55th birthday.

The German beauty celebrated her milestone by taking to her Instagram to pose in a plunging white swimsuit, showing off plenty of cleavage and her long legs.

She flashed a radiant smile as she posed up a storm in front of a luxury pool in a sun-soaked location, with her signature platinum blonde locks in beachy waves.

Claudia added a pair of white sunglasses and a trio of gold necklaces, looking as though she hadn’t aged a day since rising to fame in the 1990s as one of the world’s most successful models.

Despite it being 35 years since she had her breakthrough with Guess campaigns in 1989 and becoming Chanel’s new face in 1990, the mother-of-three looked just as radiant and youthful as ever.

She also shared a number of Rhode products, including the famous lip gloss phone case and a personalised gold charm bracelet.

Claudia is the face of the beauty brand’s Barrier Butter, handpicked by founder Hailey Bieber herself, who wanted ‘somebody who could bring iconic energy’ to the campaign.

While fellow 90s supermodel, Christy Turlington, was one of the first to take to the comments to wish her friend a ‘Happy Birthday’.

Fashion designer Donatella Versace also voiced her congratulations, sweetly writing: ‘Happy birthday my dear friend @claudiaschiffer!! I love you so so much! Enjoy every moment today’.

Speaking to British Vogue about how she maintains her age-defying looks in October, Claudia said she was a big advocate of maintaining a healthy diet to achieve flawless skin.

She explained she barely drinks alcohol and keeps to a diet with low carbohydrates, sugar and dairy, while her biggest tip for success is water.

She said: ‘I try to drink three to four litres of water every day – it’s hard and I have to concentrate on it, but I bought myself a large Owala cup and fill it up in the morning with water. I tell myself I’m not going to bed until I’ve had at least three of them.’

Ever the devoted wife, Claudia’s birthday comes just a day after she showed her full support for her husband Sir Matthew Vaughn by posing in a Brentford football shirt after he invested in the English club.

Displaying her model credentials, she was able to make even the personalised kit look incredibly chic, teamed with blue jeans, heels and white sunglasses.

Claudia, who was once named the world’s sexiest woman, posed in the stands and changing rooms, as well as alongside the players.

While she and Matthew, 54, cheered the team on to victory at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, as they defeated Aston Villa 1-0.

Matthew invested in the Premier League club in July alongside South African businessman Gary Lubner.

The producer and director has been involved in films such as Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels – which was brought to life by Guy Ritchie and featured former footballer Vinnie Jones.

He and Claudia tied the knot in 2002 and share three children together, son Caspar, 22, and daughters Clementine Poppy, 20, and Cosima, 15.

Last year, the supermodel admitted her focus changed after she married Matthew and they welcomed their children.

She said she became less ‘competitive’, and that while she knows she could still book more jobs if she wanted to, she’s content with the balance she’s achieved in her life.

She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: ‘When I was in my 20s, travelling around the world, my focus was on my career – working hard, being competitive and getting to the top.

‘That changed when I had kids, and now, I feel lucky to have such a wonderful family.  I’m proud of my children, they’re very down to earth and their wellbeing is mine and my husband’s priority.

‘I could take on a lot more runways, photoshoots and other projects. But maintaining a balance that enables me to spend quality time with my family and be there when they need me is far more important to me than doing a great new campaign.’

Claudia was one of the original supermodels alongside Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy.

Though she appreciates their position in the fashion industry was ‘revolutionary’, it was only looking back much later that she understood just how special a time it was.

She said: ‘The 1990s saw the rise of the supermodel, but also the emergence of style culture and fearless creativity. A wave of young new talent fundamentally changed the way we viewed fashion and design.

‘Previously, models had been categorized as runway, commercial or editorial, but as supermodels, we traversed those boundaries, becoming household names that represented self-made success.

‘We were at the forefront of everything and whatever we wanted, we made happen, which was revolutionary for the industry. I barely took a day off, travelling constantly across the world, but it was huge fun too.

‘It was only when I got married and later became pregnant, so I went at a slower pace, that I could truly look back and appreciate how special the 1990s were – unlike any other decade.’
