90 Day Fiancé star Elizabeth Castravet has announced the death of her father Chuck Potthast after a battle with cancer.
Potthast had been fighting glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was 64.
Castravet, who has been part of the TLC franchise since season five, confirmed that her dad’s passing has left her and her family ‘completely shattered.’
She paid tribute to him in an emotional post shared on Instagram alongside a photograph of them and their loved ones together.
Taking to the caption, the 34-year-old reality star said: ‘Two weeks ago, tragedy struck our family and it has left us completely shattered. My sweet, loving, and caring dad went to heaven.
‘We’re trying to figure out how to navigate our lives and move forward without him.
‘Please respect our privacy during this extremely difficult time.’
Potthast first revealed his cancer battle on 90 Day Diaries in 2022.

Potthast died earlier this month following a battle with brain cancer at the age of 64
In September, Potthast said he underwent over eight hours of surgery due to complications from consecutive cancer surgeries, which resulted in a hernia.
‘My surgery was supposed to be about three to four hours long to fix hernias from my previous cancer operations that had developed,’ he said in a video filmed from his hospital bed.
‘Once they got in there, they see that my stomach wall had completely collapsed, so they had to fix that, which they did.’
He added: ‘I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and support.
‘It really helped me get through it.’
Potthast made his 90 Day Fiancé debut in 2017 when his daughter Elizabeth joined the show with her other half, Andrei Castravet.
90 Day Fiancé fans have been busy sharing messages of condolences on Potthast’s last Instagram post, which was uploaded to the photo sharing social media network on October 3.
In the post, he had shared several images from a boating trip with his family in Florida.
