Christopher Biggins has hit out at Celebrity Big Brother, declaring he now hates the ‘boring’ show.
The legendary actor, 76, was famously axed from the show back in 2016 after making a shocking comment to X Factor star Katie Waissel, which was never broadcast.
Christopher told Katie, who is Jewish: ‘You better be careful or they’ll be putting you in a shower and taking you to a room.’
Bosses immediately removed him from the house, and his £100,000 fee was reportedly slashed.
Christopher has since apologised for his comments, noting that some of his close friends, such as Birds of a Feather’s Lesley Joseph, were Jewish.
Speaking to The Sun, Christopher shared his thoughts on the evolution of the series, admitting he’s no fan of the changes since it was revived by ITV in 2023.

He said: ‘I think Big Brother is just terrible. They treated me appallingly when I did it, so I have that against it. But I just think it’s boring. I don’t understand why people watch it, does it have good ratings?
‘Once again it’s negative to bring these things back. The space it takes up, they could be doing so much more so many more wonderful programmes.
‘I suppose it will continue because that’s what the public seem to want.’
Christopher also admitted he disapproves of the vast paydays being given to stars to appear on ITV shows, after Nigel Farage was paid a reported £1 million to appear on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!
The new series of Celebrity Big Brother is set to kick off on Monday night, with Hollywood star Mickey Rourke being paid a reported £500,000 to take part.
He will join stars including EastEnders’ Patsy Palmer, Corrie star Jack P Shepherd, Love Island’s Chris Hughes and US star JoJo Siwa.
Prior to his removal from the house, Christopher had also sparked controversy during a conversation with Mob Wives star Renee Grazinano about sexuality.
He said: ‘I think the worst type though, I’m afraid to say, the bisexuals.’

Christopher had previously weighed in on the Hollywood casting row, insisting there’s ‘no reason’ why straight actors should be barred from playing gay characters.
Echoing Rebel Wilson’s sentiment that it is ‘total nonsense that gay actors should play gay roles,’ the actor said performers should be given the opportunity to take on a variety of parts.
Speaking on GB News, he said: ‘I get so angry about this because acting is acting…we can play anything. If you’re a good enough actor, you could play anything.
‘I sometimes play a woman and I’m rather good at it. I’ve been so many different things, it really angers me.
‘I played in Poldark a sex-crazed vicar. It was wonderful, he was the most hated man on television that year.
‘It was divine and, of course, I’ve played quite a few straight men and I’ve played gay people too.
‘As an actor, you could play anything…’
Asked if a white actor could play Othello, Christopher added said: ‘Well, Laurence Olivier did. You couldn’t do it today.
‘It’s not a good thing, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but I do think the actors should have the opportunity to do whatever they want.
‘Nowadays, of course, you get men playing Juliet… People want to find different ways of doing different things all the time and that’s fine, but don’t preclude people like gay people only having to play gay parts.’
