Christine McGuinness has revealed the reason she and her estranged husband Paddy are still living together, nearly two years after splitting.
The model, 35, revealed she has agreed to the unconventional living arrangement because they ‘don’t want their children to be affected’ by their separation.
The couple are parents to 10-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, and Felicity, seven, who all have autistism, and Christine told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine that their children have ‘always come first.’.
She said they remain at the heart of every decision since the breakdown of their 11-year marriage in the summer of 2022.
Revealing that Paddy’s busy schedule diary means he is away from home a lot, Christine said she wants to keep life as normal as possible for their children.

The model revealed she has agreed to the unconventional living arrangement because they ‘don’t want their children to be affected’ by their separation
She said: ‘The same as when I was his wife, I’m there to support the children when he goes out to work – that’s how it is.
‘When he comes back, that’s when I’ll try to put some of my work in. It doesn’t affect the children because they’re not moving anywhere.’
She explained that the children being in the same bed and in the house means nothing will change for them.
Asked whether she’s considered dating again after the split, Christine admitted she ‘still doesn’t really feel single’ as she and Paddy are still living together.
She added that she currently ‘doesn’t feel like there’s anything missing in her life,’ and there is nothing about dating that ‘excites her.
Christine previously formed a close friendship with footballer Chelcee Grimes, with the pair even pictured kissing in December 2022. The pair have since unfollowed each other on social media.
Sharing her Valentine’s Day plans, the star said she’ll be working throughout the day before returning home to her children.
She added: ‘I don’t want to go into anything where I’m not there wholeheartedly, so I’m more than happy to put love on the backburner.

It comes after it was revealed that Christine has hired ‘pitbull’ lawyer Catherine Bedford to fight her corner and help her avoid having to sell the house in rural Cheshire she adores.
Catherine, who has been branded a ‘pitbull’ in American media, is to represent Christine through the divorce, it has been claimed.
A source told The Sun: ‘Christine really wanted to work with a woman during her divorce and Catherine is one of the best in the business.
‘Christine wants to stay in the house she’s lived in as a family for many years. She’s poured many hours of love, care and attention into it.
‘It would be heartbreaking to have to leave the property after all this time and uproot her life.’
In December, Paddy indicated he was preparing for an expensive process, admitting that he was going back on tour for the first time in six years, because his ‘money has run out’.
The presenter made the tour announcement following the news that the show he co-hosted, Top Gear, was being axed after Freddie Flintoff’s crash.
Paddy admitted that he has spent a fair chunk of his cash and he plans to ‘build it back up’ by going back on the comedy circuit.
Christine says they remain at the heart of every decision since the breakdown of their 11-year marriage in the summer of 2022, as she says she doesn’t want them affected
The comedian shared the revelation during an appearance on Wednesday’s This Morning with Emma Willis and Rylan Clark.
When asked why he decided on the tour, Paddy said: ‘Erm, well the money’s run out now so it took about eight years to spend it all and I’m like, ‘I’ve got to build it back up’.
‘So weirdly, writing a tour does take a lot of your time. When we had the break from Top Gear, I’d been planning it for a long time, I went, ‘There’s a window there’.’
Paddy announced the news of his tour earlier this week on his Instagram page, telling fans: ‘I’ve been itching to tell you this!
‘After a six year break I’m finally back on Tour!!! Paddy McGuinness – Nearly There. All pre ticket sale links in my Bio. See you in the New Year… live!!!!’
