Christina Ricci ‘thrilled’ to announce Wednesday that she created her very own custom tarot deck called Cat Full of Spiders, which is now available for pre-sale ahead of its official September 24 release.
The 44-year-old former child star is depicted on all 78 cards, illustrated by Long Beach-based cartoonist Felipe Flores, and she teased her ‘three favorite cards’ (The Fool, Strength, and Temperance) ‘inspired by her renowned body of work.’
Christina made her literary debut penning the foreword to the accompanying guidebook where she explains ‘what tarot means to her and why it’s the perfect format to detail her personal and professional journey.’
Ricci worked on her ‘passion project’ for over two years with Flores as well as her hairstylist-turned-second husband Mark Hampton, and she said the deck ‘came straight from the subconscious and a lifetime of fantasy.’
Much of the comprehensive 128-page guidebook explaining each card’s meaning was written by co-author Minerva Siegel – a self-described ‘writer, sensitivity reader, tarot consultant, and longtime practitioner of witchcraft.’

Tarot practitioners of all skill levels can perform fun and informed readings with the surrealist deck, which contains both major and minor arcana.

Ricci will reprise her role as ruthless nurse Misty Quigley in the third season of Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson’s critically-acclaimed, time-hopping plane crash drama Yellowjackets, which premieres next year on Showtime.
The Cali-born, New Jersey-raised actress will also play the villainous BoWitch in an upcoming star-studded commercial for Clash of Clans, a popular mobile app game was created by Finnish game developer Supercell.
Christina will voice Kit and her alter ego Ivana Viktimm in Paul McComas and Holly Trasti’s animated feature drama, Unplugged.
Ricci also has a role as Dr. Dresden Corliss in Michael Ryan’s long-delayed sci-fi heist flick The Dresden Sun, which will be distributed by VMI Worldwide.
On the personal front, the two-time Golden Globe nominee and the 39-year-old Welshman are proud parents of three-year-old daughter Cleopatra, and she mothered eight-year-old son Frederick from her six-year marriage to dolly grip James ‘Jimmy’ Heerdegen, which ended in 2020.
Christina has known Hampton as far back as 2017 when he coiffed her locks for her cover story in Net-a-Porter’s The Edit.
