Christina Aguilera revealed that her daughter Summer wants to be her manager in the future during a new interview with Vogue.
The 43-year-old performer told the media outlet that her second child, nine, is already eyeing a role in her mother’s management team and wants to play an active role in the singer’s continued success.
The hitmaker, who recently promoted her personal lubricant, began by speaking about the nonchalant way Summer brought up her future aspirations.
‘On the way to school the other day with her dad, [Summer] said, “When I grow up, I want to either be mama’s photographer or mama’s manager.” It’s so funny,’ she said.
Aguilera went on to state that other figures in the entertainment industry had taken notice of Summer’s career choice.

‘We told Will.i.am that [when he came to see the show], and he was like, “Oh, my God, she’s your daught-ager.” So daught-ager is the word of the year. It’s just so cute,’ she said.
The Grammy Award-winning singer then spoke about how her second child had already taken an active role in managing her mother’s schedule.
‘If I’m running late for something or have an appointment, she’s like, “You know they’re waiting, Mama. We need to go,”‘ she stated.
Aguilera also told the media outlet how she had always known that Summer would be an assertive child.
She recalled: ‘I was [previously] working with someone who predicted her birth to me, a very intuitive person, and she said, “You’re going to have a daughter, and she’s going to be your protector.”‘
The Dirrty singer added: ‘Literally she’s embodying that, and it’s just the most beautiful [thing].’
Aguilera added that her daughter was ‘so enraptured by the world behind the scenes and the production of everything, and she loves the band and the background singers.’
She concluded by stating that Summer ‘gives me so much love and support. Before I go on stage, she knows I get nervous, and she’s like, “You’re going to do great, mama.”‘
