Christian Wilkins was in doting son mode this week when he shared a rare photo with his mother, Michelle Burke.
The model’s father, Today show star Richard Wilkins, 71, split with Michelle when Christian was just a year old.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Christian, 29, posted a photo that showed him beaming as he happily cuddled up to Michelle.
Wearing a blue crew neck T-shirt with yellow stripes and a white cap that covered his long blonde locks, Christian sported a contented expression as he rested his head tenderly on his mother’s.
Michelle, meanwhile, looked equally chuffed to be in her son’s company, beaming for the camera as she held on to her son’s arm.
Christian captioned the image with a simple: ‘Mama,’ augmenting the sentiment with two heart emojis.

The post was a rare sighting of Michelle, with the brunette beauty scarcely showing up on Christian’s social media feeds.
Speaking about his mother with the Sydney Morning Herald in 2021, Christian said the duo were ‘best friends’.
‘Mum and I are very close – like best friends,’ he said.
‘The public often sees me with my dad and assumes I am closer to him, but I am just as close to mum.’
He also revealed that Michelle may have played a part in Christian’s unique sense of style.
‘Mum kept me grounded in my childhood. She gave me a routine, dropped me off at school and made my lunches,’ he said.
‘She is also a rather glamorous woman who would turn up to parent/teacher [interviews] in an orange check miniskirt and brown tights – it was a standout.’
Michelle was Richard’s third wife and the entertainment guru has had a string of high-profile girlfriends, including designer Colette Dinnigan, with whom he has a daughter, Estella, 20, Tottie Goldsmith, Liz Hayes, and Rebecca Naso, who he was engaged to for a year before their split in 2009.

He is currently in a relationship with Mia Hawkswell, with Richard breaking his silence on their relationship in October last year after the pair were pictured holding hands in May.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, Richard revealed that ‘life is good’ as he sweetly gushed over his new partner.
‘Mia is gorgeous, she’s very well, she’s very busy, she’s got lots on,’ Richard said.
Christian’s post comes after he recently gave a very telling clue about his sex life during a raunchy chat with Dan Brophy on his show In The Name Of The Diva.
The pair debated if Kylie Minogue’s hit All The Lovers is about having sex with someone who is well-endowed, with Christian hinting he may have experience in that department.
‘She is saying, “Of all the lovers who have gone before, that no one compares to you. Don’t be frightened, just give me a little bit more,”‘ Dan explained.
The host then continued to quote the lyrics of the song, saying: ‘”When you get too close it burns. It hurts.” You know?’
The model quickly joked he has experienced the act, before telling Dan there was ‘a case’ for his theory.
Christian is known for his brazen aura, frequently drumming up controversy over his unapologetic and gender-bending fashion choices.
