The 45-year-old former This Is Us actress wore a figure-hugging, ribbed, olive green dress for a Good Day New York segment.

Metz, who lost 100lbs in 2025, teamed the off-the-shoulder look with black leather ankle booties.

Her glossy, shoulder-length brunette locks were parted down the middle and arranged in soft, face-framing waves.

She looked beautiful in a soft face of makeup with pink-hued highlights bringing out her features.

In April 2025 Metz shared an update on her health journey and revealed the workout secret keeping her in shape.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, she shared that she was weight lifting consistently.

'I have always enjoyed strength training. I've always enjoyed lifting weights,' she explained, noting that she prefers it to cardio.

'I don't want to run unless I'm being chased,' she joked while promoting her second children's book, called When I talk to God, I Talk About Feelings.

Her trainer, who remains anonymous, endured a weight loss journey himself, which is what the star says she enjoys about working with him.

'We have things in common where it's not just like, "Why are you doing this?" Like, I don't want to be yelled at.

'I want to be lovingly supported in whatever it is that I'm doing,' she explained about her training sessions.

What also motivates her — apart from one-on-one sessions — is knowing that her fitness will help in the long run when it comes to aging.

Later in the year the author addressed her 'very complicated feelings' surrounding weight loss drugs.

While clearing up misconceptions about her health journey, she reflected on the use of medicines like GLP-1  amid Hollywood's Ozempic craze.

'If you’re diabetic and need to lower your A1C, these are things that are important to take care of. But if you already have a restrictive eating disorder and take something that minimizes your appetite, it can become a very slippery slope,' she told People at the time.

She stated that if she one day decides to use a GLP-1 medication, she won't reveal it publicly.

'I never said I was the poster child for body positivity. I just want to do what I can do to live the longest, healthiest life,' Metz noted.

While speaking about her father's tragic death from sepsis after getting gastric bypass, the Florida native said she does not want to meet the same fate.
